Can you guys help Clonecommander out a little?

She is working on her Girl Scout Gold Award and one of the things she is doing is water colors of some of the Water Fowl who either winter or summer on our local pond.  She is having a lot of self doubts about being good enough and well Mom word only goes so far.  So I am hoping for some feedback from you folks to help her realize she is talented and these are going to be good when she is done.  Many thanks!

There are watercolors by Clonecommander?! Wow, I can't paint a square, let alone water fowl. These are beautiful! Quite honestly, beautiful.

I especially like the blending of colors down near the chest feathers on the Blue Heron. I grew up seeing those, and yep, dead ringer!

I find birds notoriously hard to draw or paint. I remember doing a field course in my zoology degree where we had to draw and identify waterfowl. I did O.K. but you should have seen my BFs drawings!  

These are both very very good, especially the heron. My mum and her BF are here and they say the heron is fantastic too.

She's very good and I could tell exactly which species they were.  I think she should submit designs to the yearly Duck Stamp. They have a junior category so she would just need to find out what ducks they want designs of this year and do a painting. She has an excellent chance at placing.

I can't even draw a simple shape without messing it up
I love how the duck looks like a painted, wooden carving of a duck
and I love how the heron blends realism with an Asian wall hanging style. they are really lovely.
