Title: Cancer and customizing question
Post by: Whoa1234 on January 26, 2012, 04:11:37 PM
Hi everyone, I got a super baity pony from a friend with lots of cancer, I have never customized a pony with cancer before and was wondering if It would affect the custom later in life.

Also can Ponies catch cancer from each other?

Thanks!!

pony cancer is not contagious it will not spread to your other ponies it is just the plastic of the pony breaking down. Mold on the other hand can be contagious.

You should be able to paint over the cancer spots.

  She could look great!

I would boil the bait just to sterilize it first.  Possibly avoid lighter color paint jobs.  The cancer may still spread and darken on that pony, discoloring for example, a white or yellow paint job above it.  It might not spread to the paint itself, but the body underneath changing can change the top color somewhat.

I RIT dyed a cancer pony dark blue, an the spots were no longer visable, but they have darkened thru since and she looks horrible now. So id reccomend a dark paint job too, with numerous coats of paint to make sure.

I agree with everyone else, a nice think paint job should be all you'll need.
