Happy Tuesday. This week we'll be featuring geometric themed symbols/marks.

Do you have her? What do you think of her? Share some more pics!
I have this one. I guess some may consider her to be a him and so forth, so no offense. Cute though!
-
Have her. Used to have her MOC as well. Sold that one when I decided to focus mostly on UK MOC stuff. Not sure if I regret it...don't remember if she was a she or a he on the card, actually.
Regret that I don't still have a Pony Friends backcard from 1987.
-
Pass. Was never a big fan of the animal companion lines. If she fell into my lap of course I would keep her, but I'm not about to go out and look for her actively. At least not at this point.
-
I have this one on my shelf right now! I found her at Value Village a few months ago...
-
Backcard says "she" (http://www.ponyology.com/sites/default/files/imagecache/nothing/DSCN2426.jpg), for those who are curious :3
Spunky was my first animal friend that I opened for Christmas, and then I got Kingsly, but no other ponies that year. I love her to pieces!
-
I love her.
I thought most of the pony friends were boys for some reason
-
Bwahaha! I love that the title is Spunky da Camel. XD
Pass. I don't like the Pony Friends or Pretty Pals.
-
She's cute! I'd love to have her. I find this line/set very interesting and I'd love to see something like it in G5.
-
I kinda like her. Camels, zebras, moose, giraffes, llamas, calves, lambs, all fit into my idea of what would live in a sentient pony-centric world. Elephants, kangaroos and pandas to a lesser degree, but at least they're all herbivores. And Cuteasaurus probably is given her rough shape. Something about unleashing the carnivorous predator Kingsley the Lion into that never sat well with me. Maybe that's why we have a dinosaur, to keep Kingsley from reverting to his predator ways.
-
I like the Pony Friends, they just a cute side group to the ponies. Spunky is the one i find most often along with Kingsley, I think I've found 4-5 in the past year and a half. I've found a couple of the zebra and none of the others. Perhaps Spunky was more popular with kids back then?
-
Reading this I have realized that I refer to Spunky as them. Anyway, I would like to have them, I like the pony friends :) I think the molds are quite nice.

I have a theory, and that theory is that the teal/purple with a touch of neon yellow/green color combination had a brief blip of being really cool for a few years there starting around the time Spunky was released. Look at the Swatch watches from the first few years after her release visitors can't see pics , please register or login
. The boom in Charlotte Hornets merch. Surf/skate clothes at the time. It was a really on trend color combo for the late 80s/early 90s, definitely more so from the other pony friends in her release who hearkened more to the early 80s.

Want her, Pony Friends is a set I want to complete.

I need that watch in my life...
Teal and purple were my fave color pairing as a kid

Here you go: https://www.squiggly.com/us/en/swatch-sogno-gv101.htm Vintage, cleaned, restored and guaranteed to work, at near-retail price it originally cost. I highly recommend Squiggly.
But if you poke around like 1987-1993 you'll find a lot with those color combos.

Aw thanks for the link! But meh, I'm not a big watch wearer so I don't like that price. My husband occasionally flips watches, so I'd rather pay 10 bucks for something like that and have him clean it. ;) Sorta like I'd rather clean up a pony then pay top dollar.
But I dig the fact it has 1, 2 and 5 and the chunkiness of the hands.

I have this camel. I love that color combo very nice. :) I love her hair so curly. She looks cute with all her pony friends.
-
I love her and all of her friends I have the first set now just need the other ones.
-
Speaking of their colors, the prototype had pink hair, so they had a primary color scheme. Here is an image of the catalogue http://mylittlewiki.org/wiki/File:Prototype-pony-friends.jpg
-
I'll pass; camels aren't really my jam. :/
-
I’d like to have her. She’s cute!
-
Not a huge fan of Spunky, I have to say! I don't really like the pony friends who have hair where the real animal would not...
-
Definitely a 'him'. Yup. And I did not buy him earlier this week, so I guess we would have to say 'pass', right?
-
I'll pass on this one, she just doesn't do it for me for some reason (and this is coming from someone who usually loves the pony friends! Although, I'm not really a camel person, so maybe that's why). I'd keep her if one fell into my lap somehow, but she's not one I'd specifically seek out.
-
I have one but she is starting to lean a lot, so I might have to do a hot water bath fix.
-
Have never had her before!

I think it's purple. That colour often shows up pinkish in photos and in adverts but it's different from Kingsley's hair, which is dark pink.
