Toy question for the mlp episode "The golden Horseshoes"?

Hello everybody, I had a question for all the collectors here. Does anyone know of any pony from the G1 toyline that could possibly be Mimic's unnamed ancestor we saw in the flashback in the G1 episode "The golden horseshoes"? She was a unicorn with a pink coat, and a blue mane. Thanks to everone in advance! ^^

Bangles and Buttons are pink unicorns with blue hair but they both have a coloured stripe in their manes.  I don't recall the episode so can't really help beyond that.  Interesting question, though.

I saw this episode the other day, I think she was just a random unicorn, I don't think she was meant to be anyone in particular Unless I'm misunderstanding your question? (And, didn't she have a white coat? Or am I mis-remembering? o3o)

I dont remember the scene well enough unfortunately to guess. But strawberryreef.com has a great "by colour" section for G1s so if you should be able to scroll through the pink section to see if you can find anyone who looks familiar enough for you. http://www.strawberryreef.com/Index/G1/pink.html. A pink uni with blue hair sounds like Buttons or Bangles, I agree, those are the only 2 I can initially thing of.

Since Buttons was in the G1 series at the same 'time' as Mimic I'd guess it's not her, but Bangles could have been Mimic's ancestor as I don't think she was ever in the cartoon (I'm not counting adverts for the toys).

I know I'm a bit late to this discussion, but I got curious and decided to take a good look at the unicorn from that episode myself. I noticed that she also has pink/light purple eyes (it's hard to tell from the YouTube version). I then took a look at a photo of Bangles, and sure enough, she has light purple eyes as well.

The only possible continuity errors that might crop up from depicting that unicorn as Bangles are:
1) Bangles' backcard story mentions her visiting Dream Castle and speaking with Majesty
2) Mimic's ancestor had a white tail ribbon, while Bangles' ribbon seems to be a bluish-purple color (at least in the illustration on her backcard...but the only photo of her with a tail ribbon I was able to find showed her with a white ribbon! Confusion...)

And speaking of wild coincidences, it's interesting that Bangles not only matches the color scheme of Mimic's ancestor, but was created in the same pose as Mimic as well.

Anything is possible because honestly, they didn't put too much thought into the old 80's cartoon.

I would guess it's not Bangles, because the pony they show doesn't have a symbol. When I was little I imagined they were talking about a unicorn from long long ago, before ponies had any symbols.. lol I hope that makes sense.

But it's totally possible! Whatever you imagination leads you towards.

Hmmm, okay! I was thinking, after much consideration and asking pony collectors, ethier Bangles or Sugary Sweet(although this one is a stretch, due to the mane diffrence)! Thanks for the  imput! ^^

I think it's Majesty.  She looks more white than pink to me and Majesty actually came with golden horseshoes.

I always thought she was a pony that existed 'before they got symbols' as well, when I saw the ep as a kid. Although they never stated that sometime in the past ponies didn't have symbols. That was just something that made sense to my kid brain!
