Let me explain. I found a grail pony of mine on Ebay that needs some restoration and bid. I noticed the seller had a few other decent ponies that were low so bid just to kinda combine shipping there. I like to buy in lots normally anyway if I can. These other ponies were ones I've wanted but not so bad I would just die to have them. Anyway won my auctions all but one and got my grail. I'm super happy. Now I'm also "dang I missed that one! She would look goo beside the others..." Lol not that I need her or was dying to have her just that last minute gimmie! Ever do that?
-
yep
-
Yes that happens to me a lot lol :P
-
Yes. Thats why i love and hate ebay. :lmao:
-
yep, but usually I am glad that I didn't spend the extra money..

I'm having such bad luck with eBay at the moment.
I'm trying to get accessories for 3 play sets. I found a buy it now for a 1st place rosette for the show stable, lost in post.
I was outbid at the very very last second on a Spike and 2 horseshoes for the castle. (I only need 1 shoe)
I was thrilled when I was given a second chance offer on it.....lost in post.
2 auctions for plushies have been ended early. I totally forgot about a third, missed it buy 30 seconds.
I'm trying to collect all the ponies I had as a child. I was watching a sea pony for days, out bid again at the last second, by 20p or something stupid. The other bidder had already outbid me on the other 2 ponies from same person. Still not sure how they managed it, auction sniper maybe?
The only good thing was winning a Bluebell for 99p!!!! Yay! She has initials written on her feet, but I do not care!
Yeah, sometimes I really hate eBay : /

All the time :c
But, there's certain circumstances when I show a friend a listing and they buy it. Even if i wanted it, it makes me happy knowing a friend has it.
My one friend has a beautiful Wind Whistler and my other friend has a really close to mint condition Star Glow. It makes me happy.

All the time :c
 thats exactly what I was going to say too! :P
I've done it so often that if I see something I'm sort of on the fence about I'll just go for it now, 'cos if i dont and I go back for it later it will be gone and I'll regret it foooooreeeeever :yikes: oh ok, maybe not forever, but until the next one comes along anyways  :silly:
-
constantly.. ive been out bid NINE times on minty...NINE TIMES!! UGH
-
Tons!! I bid on a lot of stuff, and sometimes I forget to watch the auctions. Occasionally I win, but when I lose out on something I kind-of wanted, I tend to obsess a little
For example, there was a pair of MH prototype shoes I wanted and bid on. They were cute, but not a pair I needed to have. I lost the auction in the last seconds (after being the only bidder for 6 days!) and I was immediately disappointed. So much so that I tracked down another pair a few days later
-
Ya I have felt that way before, but the good thing is. There will always be another one :)
-
/me reads OP's post.
No, not really.
I don't care for things that much.
*cough* AHEM. *cough*
In a place such as this, I'd say 100% of people feel the same way :)
I'm trying hard not to look at eBay, because I know there are only a few (dozen... *cough* hundred... *cough*) more ponies I have room for, or have a place for.
No I don't actually have room for a few hundred more, and I certainly wouldn't know what to do with that many!!
That being said, I could give a looooong list of names I would love to have & can tell you exactly where they will go.
But seeing a pony I really want & adding others to make up the shipping is a quick way to the poor house. :-(
-
 maybe.....ok yeah all the time
-
At least once a day ;w;, not only about Ponies but about dolls, Polly Pockets, Keypers and clothes 'x'.
-
All the freaking time! Sometimes Ponies run up SO high I'm like; I can't afford that! Shoooot! And then someone else buys them and I'm totally bummed :P

Yeah, that's what often happens to me. You often have to be a sniper with a ton of money willing to wait until the last second to get the pony you want (of course, this also requires that you have the fastest internet speed)!
-
Yeah, cos I always end up winning the 'extra' I bid on to save on shipping, and not the pony I really wanted badly!
-
ROFL...there are still auctions from years and years and years ago that I still think about and begrudge missing :P Yeah...grudges? I hold them tight even against ebay auctions.
-
Yes. Thats why i love and hate ebay. :lmao:
exactly! did it yesterday - i wanted one pony badly but bid on four others of this seller too, because there where only a few minutes or so left and i lwas like "WHY NOT?"
LOL got all but one and i'm happy with that ^.^
but i recall times that i also regreted what i bought - it is not always easy to accept a spontaneous bid afterwards >_<;
-
Yep been there, and sometimes I have actually asked about some ponys that I have missed that did not sale. For example if I got a lot from someone like you just mentioned & I noticed that I forgot to bid on one in my watch list I will ask the seller if they want to include that item for more money of course  I feel silly for asking about forgot ponys, I don't want to seem pushy or like a scammer.
-
This happens to me all the time! I see a pony I've been actively looking for and the seller has some other ponies from my wishlist that I would like but aren't really in a hurry to buy but then I decide I'll bid on them as well to save future postage. So I start off not really minding if I get the other ponies but when I lose the auctions on them all of a sudden it's the worst thing in the world and I have to have them right now! Then the auction fever goes away and I'm relieved I didn't end up spending the extra money.... but still a little sad about the lost ponies..... Ebay auctions really mess with your head!
-
I often regret the auctions I lose by a dollar or something in the last seconds. I think, I should have had a higher final bid!
-
im having horrible luck on ebay right now too, seems ponies are going higher, maybe christmas approaches ugh.
-
Let me rant here a little...
Us Dutchies are on Marktplaats, and I HATE it! I know that I am super quick, but I don't know what's wrong, people don't email me back or other collectors are just giving them an offer they can't refuse or just make up some stupid stories about their 'kids'
And don't get me started about people that just buy to sell, give others a freaking chance will ya!
I am SO pissed off! I saw a Chief with his bandana AND hat, I was first, I wanted to come pick the Ponies and stuff up and still? No, ofcourse not! Ughhhhhhhhh
I'm going to read now, tomorrow I'm gonna get Pony Mail, that should make me feel better. But it's just frustrating, I'm fast, people don't respond and it's just frustrating. So I'm telling you guys cause I know you understand. Frustration over plastic toys....

UuuuuAAAAAAARRRGH!! This! Here & on eBay in the last week, I'm always a day late or a dollar short. Or 53 cents short. Doesn't help it's been the same items repeatedly; it's starting to make me feel like a real loser as my patience runs dry. Nutbunnies. Sorry for hollering. -_-
