Arts & Crafts Corral / Re: Commission Artists thread 2023-2024
« Last post by WingsOfMasquerade on Today at 11:01:38 PM »
I would like to seek a plush artist to commission for a G1 Plush work. (In May, of 2024)

This is on behalf of someone who speaks only German and lives in Germany.
So, you'd probably need to be able to send the plush to Germany, a paid commission work. (I have sold customs to them before many times, but now they want a plush doll)

I was asked to do a laying down plush of G1 Posey in Minkey Fabric, but....I cannot sew very well. I have no patterns, and no sewing machine. It would be better left to an expert...here! Hopefully.

It would be about 30 CM or so (maybe like a foot long or something I guess?) I said I would post here on the art area to see if anyone in the USA community had a work to show or a pattern or something to see if they'd like a Posey in that plush artist style. I can be PM'd here or emailed at [email protected] , to get into contact

A quick question on behalf of someone who I met who would love to join here:
About how long does it take to become registered as a new member? She'd tried years ago, (like 3+ maybe) but I think it never worked out then due to some technical difficulties or something. She has tried to sign up again (This week, I think Mon. maybe) and it's supposed to send you an email to finish registration? But it's been since probably Monday and nothing happened so she worries it's the same way again and unable to join.

I honestly registered so long ago that I have totally forgotten the process and how it worked/how long it took.
Thanks for any help with this,

Picked up the set! I love Misty and Jazz.
Was there a new deal with Walmart and Hasbro? There are ponies again!

Nice to see Jazz Hooves and Queen Haven. It's a shame that these are smaller, though. The 3-inches are usually of lower quality.

Off Topic / Re: The Trivial Complaints Thread ... #3

Unfortunately this shows me that a change of government may not be the solution to all our problems. Our local council is not Tory.

we have similar issues here too. unfortunately :( i'm curious about the political parties in Britain. I know there is a parliament instead of the 3 branches we have in the US. But i only ever hear about 2 political parties, the Tories and Labour. are there other smaller parties that don't make in into the US coverage? I wish we had more viable parties here. but i'm not sure more parties is leading to voters having more input in places with more than 2 parties.

anyway my complaint today is my back and head hurt. i really crash towards the end of the day. i woke up at 4am so i guess it makes sense given i've been up for 14+ hours already. but still it's annoying. i still have stuff to do.

Pony Corral / Re: Pink marks on G1 Ponies
« Last post by goddessofpeep on Today at 02:47:46 PM »
Pink marks can be due to any one of the following:
Regrind(only on certain ponies - mostly intense pink or orange ponies)
Stains from saddles/bridles left on a pony for an extended period of time
Stains from other accessories(shoes, possibly certain pieces of ponywear, etc) also left on too long
Actual marker, highlighter, or pen marks
Pony make up(The Perfume Palace and some ponies came with pink lipstick/nail polish, and it’s not uncommon for it to be left on to stain)
Stains from miscellaneous items/products due to play and/or storage
Mold/bacteria(in some ponies - only pink or pink adjacent ponies get pink discolorations)

Marks that have straight edges to them are usually stains from some source. Pink marks on ponies that are not remotely pink or pink-adjacent(salmon, orange, etc) are stains. Obviously anything that is writing or a recognizable shape is probably drawn on and a stain. Mold is usually a dark brown dot in the center of a circle of discoloration.  Often the dot and/or the circle are raised slightly.  Regrind is usually random splotches of varying sizes and shapes. It can be as small as a tiny single splotch up to the entire pony’s body.

Regrind is unfixable and probably will spread. Mold is the same, though there may be some possible ways to stop the spread, or at least slow it down. Some ponies may get regrind so badly, they just completely turn that color. The rest may be treatable with careful sunfading.
