Where in China are ponies made?

Just an idle wondering as I was reading about toys arriving all dirty straight from the factory.

Does anypony know whereabouts in China Hasbro's toys are made?   Not that I want to visit or anything... I'm just feeling curious.   I'm also betting on Guangdong province... but I'd be delighted if anypony could let me know for sures.

I don't know for sure, but most of the sellers on taobao that sell ponies seem to be in Guangdong or Guangzhou, so maybe there?

Google maps show those two places being the same place o_O Either way they are not far from Hong Kong by looking at the map

But I'm afraid that it would turn out like a foxconn exposé...

All of Hasbros production is outsourced to third party manufacturers as the list suggests - some direct to third party factories and some in partnerships; some of these factories also produce other toy lines from Hasbro and other toy companies. Its a fascinating and competitive process.

Almost every Chinese factory is on the east coast of course - location, proximity to roads and ports is one of the most important factors for a factory. Shanghai, Shenzhen and around the south of Beijing tend to have the largest factory clusters.

I find stuff like this so interesting  But yes large companies use tons of factories, we have around 80 here at our company presently that we utilize. Some make a lot of products, some we only use to make one specific product. Almost all are in that region of China. Our CEO goes to China every few weeks to personally visit and inspect the factories and their products
