Traveling ponies, Cameo has come to visit me in Iowa! UPDATE

Last night she was supposed to go to a restraunt with me, but due to weather we were not able to go.

but, she is starting to make herself more at home as she visits here!

she was very thirsty and tired when she arrived, she said it was a bumpy drive! So we split an energy drink together.

i meant to send you a PM saying she got here safely, but i was headed off to work and it totally slipped my mind! i need to keep a list of to do's lol!

today we went to a restraunt called cracker barrel. cameo was just so hungry so we pulled over and decided to order some good country cookin'!

we put in our order of a bacon burger with some cheesey hashbrown casserol and as we were waiting, she decided to try out the game they have set out on the tables. she's very good!

our drinks came finally, she loved the taste of an ice cold rootbeer in a frosted mug

After we stuffed our faces, we had a hard time deciding on desert, and then minty came over to say hello!!!

after we finished our meal, we left and headed for the casino!!!!!

ok, these still aren't all the pictures but here are a couple more. i still have to get some of the casino ones off my mom's phone. i had to send cameo back, so i didn't get around to taking a couple others i had planned on. poooo!! but she picked up a couple souvineers

we filled up our gas tank and headed south (or was it east? ....we took a left...)
and we were headed for villisca!!!! one of our many stops!

when we got into town, we drove by the axe murder house. we weren't allowed to go in because someone beat us to the open spot for the tour. you'd be surprised at how many people drive lots of hours just to see the inside!
so we pulled up outside.

i feel bad that she didn't get to go to as many places as i had hoped she would, but i sent her one her way with a couple of small souvineers, hopefully she'll enjoy her time more at the next stop!!

i just really wish i could have taken her inside, its really neat in there. i've been there a couple times, but the owner recently passed away so they do things differently now. its a lot more money to get in, and they closed the museum down. people say they're improving things there, but i think its going to crap now.

Yea!!!!! No worries, Varkolak. I appreciate you taking her there I love history and I hate over-priced landmarks. That's why I love visiting DC so much. Free stuff everywhere!! Don't feel sorry for Cameo, she had a great time, I'm sure! I'm more sad that I can't go in the house. Maybe I'll visit Iowa someday. I sure appreciate you road-tripping it out there! You are a peach!
