Sunnybunch - Nirvana or rehair?

Hello,

I was just browsing Ebay for fun and I came across an auction where there was a Sunnybunch MGR for sale. I was wondering if anyone knows if it's a re-hair or some kind of Nirvana. Because she has no forelock. All the other Sunnybunches I've seen have forelocks.

What do you guys think? As said, I'm still learning a lot about MLP, so I'm kinda curious.

I've never seen one without a forelock either. It looks like the correct color hair so either there was a factory error or someone rehaired to match. The mane and tail look like new hair rather than well kept/restored hair so my vote is rehair.

I want to say I have a Sunnybunch without a forelock and she's the opposite country (HK vs China or vice versa) to my one with a forelock, but I am not at home to check.

I would also suspect a rehair - the hair doesn't look like it has quite the right texture. That said, Nirvana ponies often seem to have wonky rough looking hair.

The only nirvana version of Sunny Bunch stands in Diamond Dreams pose I believe she is som sort of test run.

Without taking her head off and looking inside I can't tell if she's rehaired or not.

MGRs have long forelocks in general. I have seen ones whose forelocks weren't cut. It's difficult to tell from that photo - hers could just be brushed back, also. As others have said, it's possible it's a rehair as well. Not Nirvana, though.

The texture and flatness looks like a rehair to me.

a repainted eye was mentioned in the listing. nothing about the hair not being original. based on the other items they have listed, they're a pony person. Might have forgotten she had been re-haired (or they were never told when they purchased her), or she's really bang-less and the hair had been flat ironed to smooth frizzies making it so flat making it replaced/unoriginal looking.

It strikes me as a rehair.  It has that too-perfect look about it!  I rehaired a Flower Bouquet, imagining it would turn out the same as a minty one with original hair, and it came out looking just like this.

She looks to me like a possible rehair as well, due to the texture and how "perfect" and flat it looks.  Just a guess though.

I don't know if she is a rehair or not, but the Euro versions of the Merry Go Round ponies have no forelock.

My sunnybunch was made in china, and does not have a forlock.  I got her in an ebay lot ages ago, so I have no idea where she came from.  I didn't know any of them DID have forlocks, lol.
