I'm debating trying a face up on my vampire CAM, so I'd love to see what you lovely collector's have done for inspiration!
Thanks!

Haha I lub you golden abbey Jupi... Pretty sure I am in love with most of them... Sadly enough though I have no repaints as I am new to it as well and have a faceless ghoulia and lala staring at me with no eyes... Lol...
-
I love the gold abbey too! I love them all!
I love the idea of a cultural ghost, like your Japanese doll, Refuse to dance. She's pretty!

Queen Mio is the mom of Spectra in my world ( aka Princes Isabella Mio Madoka). :D

I have only done 2 full face-ups.
My first was a fairy I made for my mother in law.

The second is a clown that I haven't finished gathering all the pieces of her outfit but her face is done.

Jup, I love that golden Abbey. I wish I had the guts to try something like that, but I know I would have huge problems with getting the eye lashes done right. I have a Scaris Abbey that is screaming for a face over and a re-hair.

I have a few touch ups:

Keep the glorious pics coming, I love MH customs! (And I am the very loving owner of Golden Abbey, she is amazing Jupi!)

Colorscapesart, that Frankie is GORGEOUS. I so want her LOL.

Well, since you mentioned the CAM vamp, I did this with one:

It was going to be Alice from Alice Madness Returns. It doesn't exist anymore, as I decide to use a different head and wiped it. I also wasn't very satisfied with it. I intentionally wanted a wall eyed look, but it just didn't work for the head.

I love the "Golden Girls", they are so beautiful. Plus that red striped Frankie...faints! I think I gasped when I first saw her.
Kala, I really love your face ups, and I'm not usually a fan of many faceups. Your dolls are always so expressive and incredibly sweet/romantic looking. You don't give yourself enough credit!!
-
I agree, I don't know what you're talking about Kala, yours are all gorgeous! I love freckles on (is that Howleen? I'm still new)!
-
Aw, you ghouls are so sweet *BLUSH*
-
Kala you have always had gorgeous customs. I love them all!
Here are the few I've done..working on some more right now, and will hopefully post pictures soon!
Curious though...has anyone tried using the prismacolor pencils? Do they work well for faceups?

I haven't used Prismacolor pencils, but my clowns face was done with water color pencils except the lashes.

These are the ones I used. I think they look good, but it takes a lot of work to get them to coat the area you are painting evenly.
