I think RAMChyld may have been building a mobile app but online there is both klect.com and ponydex.com. The latter is a site created and run by bunny-san, a pony collector, so for me I find it geared perfectly towards storing your collection.

I would recommend ponydex
Klect drove me crazy trying to use it and i gave up with it in the end

I also have a handy a5 size file with all my checklists including visual ones for accessories. Comes in very handy when you are buying stuff at conventions

Next question. Is there a way to find out the price of the pony is? I see with both sites that they have an option for what you bought or what the pony is worth....and I would like that info....yes they always change but a general idea is always good:) Any recommendations on that?

This site is pretty good for pricing G1 ponies.

I was. But now it's on infinite hold due to 1: The cost of getting on the Apple iOS developer program, 2: Apple has declared my old trusty first-gen iPad obsolete and that's making me think twice about continuing my development, 3: The programming language for Android is driving me up the wall, 4: I'm still not fully confident of my skills in the programming language for iOS yet (particularly the load/save part), and 5: I have a handful of personal and work-related issues to deal with right now.

Honestly, I'd suggest just using Klect or Ponydex, going for an Microsoft Excel/LibreOffice Calc/Lotus 1-2-3/iWork Numbers spreadsheet if you need offline access to your database. They can be complemented with QuickOffice on most mobile devices.

Sorry to get y'all hopes up :( I've not made much progress since the last time I talked about it :(

Ebay ended auction prices are always useful - an ended auction search for a pony will normally give you the prices it has sold and hasn't sold for in the last month or so. That can be helpful as well. :)

i've been working on updating my site mylittleponycollection.info

Right now it has most G1 ponies listed. I just have the last few nirvanas to load then I will start on the G2s. I wanted to finish it much sooner but I just haven't had enough free time lately.

Eventually I want to add the ability for collectors to track their collections, wishlist, favorite ponies etc.

Maybe if people entered the amount they paid for each pony we could calculate an average price for each pony? I wouldn't have to display each price. just the average for a particular pony.
