G3s with Cancer?
« on: November 07, 2012, 12:37:09 PM »
I was looking at a Tink-A-Too on Ebay, and it looked like she had pony cancer!     It was on her nose.

Do you think it's possible? I mean, I've read a thread about a G4 having what looked like cancer

I didn't think they'd get it too. (this was a regular Tink-a-too for anyone wondering)

It doesn't surprise me.... I mean, some of the G1's I found as a child (I got everything at yardsales) were only 2-5 years old at that point, and some already had spots/regrind/cancer- like some twinkle eyes and big brothers... :( I remember being so upset when I found an afflicted TE locket when I was little, and her marks didn't wash off- she was so pretty except for the regrind....

All you can do is keep them in a clean dry place and hope for the best... perhaps upgrade any that bother you...

Well I guess it was my Dewdrop Dazzle you heard had cancer?

It's true though she's a g4 had it and had to get a nice little bleach bath.

Due to instabilities or even dirt/dust in the production process, yes plastic can start to break down when its new so it is indeed possible unfortunately.

My Breezie has a little.  And a really short hair-and-tail cut. A collector's nightmare!
I'll put something here some time

I got her from a thrift store and she was COVERED in icky brown spots. I asked some other collectors and they all agreed it looked like cancer and I think it might had started to spread

Its probably mold. Even new toys can get mold pretty fast if in the "right" conditions. If a little kid decided that MLPs are good bath toys they are gonna end up moldy.

Yes, I think it was  :)

And, I have a pony with a unknown mark on her leg. It's G3, and appeared after I gave her a bath. I can take pictures, its like a black dot. Any help?
