Animal Crossing Thread, Part 5

I think this time around, I am going to (mainly) buy the individual cards I want instead of buying a ton of packs. Kinda realized that the money I spent buying a ton of packs, I could have saved a bunch of money if I buy the cards individually. D:

..although I will buy at least two packs to see if I manage to get the ones I want. Because I MUST have Jack, Blanca, Phoebe, and Julian.

@ SwiftheartBabbit: I did! I am a sucker for food items, and just had to go get teh 7-11 items that Filly had. I wished it was all of them, though.
I saw on reddit that the next DLC is Monster Hunter related, and I saw the items for that (and the cat character Felyne), so I am excited for that as well. Starts some time early November (for Japan, at least).

I heard that series 2 will be released in the US on November 13. I don't know if it's true, but I sure hope so! That's only 2 weeks away!

Probably a good idea with the cards. I just got Kiki's card off of Ebay, since it was at the top of my list for Series 1, and packs are pretty much nonexistent or being price gouged around here. Single cards on Ebay are a little higher, but nothing terrible. We'll see how Series 2 goes. I may try to grab a pack or two at retail, but then just use Ebay.

the new Spotpass character for HHD, Felyne (comes with Monster Hunter items), is up. I just got him.
I am at my house now, so I am under the belief that you dont have to go to a Nintendo Zone to grab him - you can get him from your house.

I never play the game that late, so I am not surprised I had never seen it. Although I wish the guy the video actually stated which game it was in (I know it's New Leaf, but still.).

Yeah, that was annoying. I had to watch it over again to double check and see which game he was talking about. He probably didn't even know that there are other games... 

Not on topic, but the other day I was talking to this kid (and by kid I mean he was probably 20-ish) who mentioned "vintage PS2 games". I really, really hope that child was raised under a rock.

Okay guys. My 3DS is back and I'm thinking about getting back into Animal Crossing. I know there's a trick where you start a new character to check and see if any villagers are gone. I don't remember what I'm supposed to do after that to make sure I can keep my villagers. Can anyone explain this trick again to me?
