hi all! I'm working on a custom that has short chopped mane and tail, and i'd love to see some other examples of short haired ponys! i found one old thread about the same topic, but there were only a few posts.
who's got short haired ponies who are rocking it?

Here's one I made in 2013

This is a really good question, I don't think I have any truly short-haired ponies! (Except for the G1s with hack jobs I can't bear to rehair, LOL!) This one is the closest I have, and the photo quality is ... not great, LOL. I have a nicer photo of him, but his head is turned the other way!

I also found this one, but I don't think this is quite what you meant! ;)

Mostly I'm replying so I can see all of the other lovely short haired customs that get posted, so I can be inspired!

I've only made one, this lil' boy:

I used a mixture of glue and water to tame his tail and to give it that flick (I had to pose it so that it didn't block the view).
There's also my Billy goat, but his hair is wool roving, not nylon: https://haawan.webs.com/Billy_kollaasi.jpg

the woll roving is beautiful! did you glue it rather than root it? i cant imagine rooting it would be easy

I rooted it with a (homemade) rehairing tool. :) I normally use the needle & thread method, but obviously that's impossible with roving. I've made a couple of customs with poofy hair, it's always fun! Although acrylic yarn would be a more allergy- and vegan-friendly option for that.

@Snapdragon - That pink ponies hair looks good enough to eat
@Griffin - I know I've said it before but your Baby Graffiti is so darn cute!
