G4 Hair Styling—What am I doing wrong?

This here person has some amazing tutorials, and although they're geared specifically towards four of the main six, they can still give you a basic idea of how to do various things. (Such as the straw curling mentioned earlier.)

Hello everyone! Thank you for the replies.

I think your order is a bit wrong 
Correct one is:
1) wet hair with cold/warm water
2) condition and rinse
3) put hair in curlers
4) boil it
5) let dry
 

I tried following this method as carefully as possible, and about 21 hours later unraveled the curls, and still....it is nowhere near as tight as I'd hoped. It looks okay, but it's a stringy mess. Maybe I should  ask my mom, but I have no idea why they always come out like this...

Have you tried the other tutorial mentioned Appleseed - perhaps you ll have more luck with that one?

What are you using for curlers? Could it be that they are simply too big? The only other thing that crosses my mind is that her hair isn't wet enough when you put it into the curlers :O also, have you tried it without boiling?

I think with another few tries you will get it! They are certainly more curly haired than before! It took me a half dozen tries [poor Sugar Apple as test subject] to get it right!
