Pony Corral / Re: MN Hearths Warming Eve RL Meet up

Is the ticket for coming to the meet just for coming, or also for putting your $5 in the donation jar? I like incentive to be sure Marla gets her money back!

Rosier, what if I specifically make some treats that you can eat? Will you take them with you then? Huh? Huh? It's like a challenge!

Got my partner, started shopping! Super-excited!

I approve of Minty! She's so cute and Christmassy. We should just be sure to avoid balloons, and candy canes on trees, and any chance for her to destroy something.

ETA: I just went and modified my wishlist for my swap partner. If you have trouble finding something pony-related on the list, I have given several other options. As far as I can see, everything is current and I still prefer milk chocolate to dark chocolate. Good to know some things don't change!

I think any money spent to buy raffle tickets would be great to go to the site rental first, then anything over that amount can be saved for the next meet. That sort of just means we give it to Marla, since she is pretty much always in charge of that.
I love the idea of tickets being given out throughout the day.
And tickets as prizes for the raffle table is a great idea, too.

Signed up for the Secret Santa. Let me know if anything is amiss with my form.

Non-Pony Prizes tend to happen no matter what. We all love things other than ponies, and at this point, a pony prize will either be a generation we don't collect, or a little more expensive than we want them to be. I have been storing prizes for years, so I should be able to bring at least three prizes for the table, plus for the dice game.

I also won't be there right away at ten. I might ask for work off so I can enjoy the party more, though. I was pretty dingy at the last one!

Pony Corral / Re: The Mysterious Case of 3.5 Stickers

I remember when i was talking to a lady who was stocking the stickers- she was the card-stocking-rep at Target. I pointed out that the pony stickers she was putting up were at least two years out of date- they were G3 about a year after g4 had started- and she said they still had the same upc, so it didn't matter to her. That is the only info I have on this, but it is fun to think about!

I hope you guys have a lot of fun. I’m having a Lupus flare so I can’t go. Eat some chili dogs for me!

Oh, honey, that sucks! Hugs!

Oh My Gosh! She's HUGE! If you ever want to get rid of her, keep me in mind!

I had only heard rumors of her at CVS drugstores, but was never lucky enough to find her myself. But maybe I'll luck out like you did!

Where is your husband deployed to? That must be hard, and exciting.

New Prague is getting a little more down into my area...

How about your pony collecting life? Do you have your childhood ponies and are looking to expand the herd? Just want to hang out with people who also like ponies?

Hi, Warners! Welcome to our little clan!
One of the best ways to get to know some of us is to find us on facebook- if you message me (Diana Hermanek) and let me know who you are, I will add you to the group. There is a lot of chatter about cats and food, but we usually slide a pony or two in there! And if there are ever any pony questions, we jump on them! Hahaha!

Where in MN are you?

I am in southern MN, between Albert Lea and Mankato. There are a few of us down in this area, and a few collectors up in the Twin Cities, and even a few up north and in the Dakotas! I have been collecting for pretty much my whole life, and have a pony room to show for it. I collect all generations, and my favorite is the first one- though I love lots of stuff about all the others!

Let us know if you need anything, and we can't wait to meet you!

Honestly I hope we can use Munchy or Yum Yum. My love for TAFs knows no boundries lol!

I could be talked into those. A whole group of Munchys (Munchies?) Munchii? would be really cool!

Well, my vote will be for Autumn Skye. She has a place in my heart, and I already have the photo for the contest!

You could just list them, without condition, here or on facebook. For a buck, no one can complain if they aren' perfect.

That would be amazing! I don't know that I would be able to do it, since it is very small and I am not so awesome at small things... I sewed an American Girl shirt, and it was not my favorite thing. It ended adorably, though.

Stalking! The bushes are getting full!

I did not pick a date, but the earlier in the month, the better. My work schedule is going to make weekends difficult, but I will do what I can to make it work!

You can put me down for a dessert, or a desert- I will have one of those.
Sapphire, would it help to have a designated quiet area? I know it is nice at the meets at people's houses that there is usually a yard or quiet room to sit in and draw, so maybe since this isn't going to be a huge meet, it wouldn't be hard to set aside somewhere for more peaceful moments. Not exactly a nap couch, but something like that. I know at the big meets, it is hard to find a spot where nothing is happening- every corner is filled up with fun- but I have always thought it would be nice to have an area like that. When the meet was at my house, I wanted to move the TV into Lincoln's room and just have pony movies playing, but there is only one chair in there and I ran out of time!

Kazz- I get the sense that you have been present (maybe even a victim of) this costume shaming? It wouldn't even have occurred to me to shame someone for not wearing a costume, or, of course, for wearing one. I promise not to actively shame anyone.
