BlackCurtains is the scientist amongst us.   However the research was only for one age spot, on one pony and the bacteria was dead - that therefore doesnt prove that the age spots are caused by bacteria or that the break down of the plastic attracted the bacteria. Bacteria need something to live on and plastic is not a popular...unless deterioration has started. Its a theory not a proven fact.

If you're sunfading, do NOT cover the pony in blue painters tape! "Oh, it's perfect," I figured, "it just comes right off with no reside, so much easier than painting over the symbols and such!" But DO NOT do it! The tape left purple stains all over my white ponies (because of how damp the air was those months) and now I have to sunfade them AGAIN to fix my mistake.
