I sold a pony item to rossjarrett2001 a long while ago and had no problems. however, I then saw all the trouble people had with items they bought and so kept away myself.
Recently I received a best offer on some pony items from a 'newbie' with zero feedback and when I accepted I found that the name and address 'rang a bell' when I sent an invoice. I suspected straight away it was this same person.
She asked to send a postal order and I gave the address. About a week later, still no payment. When I contacted her to ask why she said there had been a family bereavement (if true, fair enough) and asked that I send the address again which I did.
About four days later she sent me a message stating that she no longer wished to send a postal order, could she send a cheque (I dont' typically accept them) and talked about being a 'newbie' and having trouble setting up paypal. I declined to accept the cheque and we cancelled off the transactions.
I planned to warn people here in case she starts up selling and then, tonight, when checking out new pony listings I spotted her selling under another name (!) and it looks like she is up to her old tricks so I just had to put this on here.
Proceed (if you wish to) with caution!!

this person is a dodgy buyer as well as a dodgy seller. I wouldnt deal with her personally

Is it possible to report this seller to ebay? Or technically as they have done no wrong under this account as yet...is it best simply to avoid and warn others?
They or ebay must have closed the last account [probably for just a couple of the reasons that we mentioned before]...do ebay simply allow you to get shut down and then open more accounts in another name?
And thanks for the heads up Gaspode! I dont know how I would keep up with sellers/buyers to avoid if not for the Arena?

If ebay / paypal chucked her off last time they might not take too kindly to her starting up again, esp as she had some outstanding refunds etc last time.
I also note she is trying to sell baby liquorice... didn't she offer to refund that purchase to someone here and then pretend she never received her back?
I also spotted that despite tellign me she didn't have paypal she is claiming to accept paypal if anyone buys from her... hmmmm!!!

Gaspode, I would try reporting her to ebay and see what happens :awake: .
She did sell baby Licorice to another member here, who wasnt happy with the condition, so she sent her back for a refund. missbrownsboys never responded or sent the refund ... a month later blonde2themax posted here on March 28th (so not long ag0)

I have been subjected to a pony scam on eBay. I emailed the seller multiple times inquiring about any flaws my baby Licorice may have. Miss Brown told me that she had no flaws and to bid with confidence. So being the person I am I fully trusted her. Well it turned out the pony had huge gauges in her plastic body, tail rust, and cuts. To say that I was disappointed was a major understatement. I spoke with the seller through email and we came to a compromise. We agreed that if I would send it back to her she would refund my full purchase. So being as this was my first time sending back an item I didn't insistent on getting tracking for my package (although I did try, my postal service said they don't do confirmation numbers). I waited a month for my refund and it just didn't happen. I then opened a case with eBay to see if I could get my money back. Well they aren't able to help me really...because I didn't have a confirmation that the package was received... so basically I had a good cry and I am at a lost. I have been trying to contact the seller but she refuses to respond. So basically I don't have my money or my item. I guess that is what you get for trusting people nowadays...
Thankfully ebay refunded blonde2themax and then Missbrownsboy went NARU in a sea of red negs.
This is very probably the same baby Licorice that was involved here :(
I'm sure LBS will add these new IDs to the bad trader list for us. This person cant be trusted as a buyer or a seller

I would def. report her. I have done it in the past. Ebay assured me that they don't take lightly to those situations, especially if the account was suspended by them.
I am not sure though but as long as she has used a different email address/IP address/or someone else's name, it wouldn't be to hard to open up another account. It's just people like this are to stupid to not to somehow associate there real name, address or something in some way to their new account. And this is where they get caught!

I can't believe the lengths this women goes to just to sell ponies :mad: It's frightening!
I agree with RainbowWindy to contact ebay by phone and explain the situation. I would do your homework before you call also (as in have all her ID's ready to give them). They will ask and the more info you can give them the better. There is really no other way to cancel the transaction otherwise unless you contact her and request it. Which by her track record, I doubt she will be willing.

This seller is unbelievable! I am sure ebay should be able to block her completely (that is assuming that she is using the same computer and/ or internet connection) I personally dont see why ebay doesnt! So many people have been scammed by her

unfortunately this is where i'm stuck at the moment. Unless someone outbids me at the last minute on the last two (someone has outbid me on one of them already) then i'll have to just watch carefully and wait and see. Here's hoping one way or another its resolved fast.

Yea I plan on keeping an eye on the condition too. If I have to restore thats fine, but I would be happy with getting the pony period :)

I bought 2 UK comics from this seller before seeing this thread. They arrived with no problems. Hopefully some of those who bought from her will have the same good luck that I did.

Just come across this thread and I gotta add my 2-cents to the pie! I dealt with rossjarrett2011 back in November 2011 - won Daisy Sweet and Tootie Tails. Tootie Tails was sent, along with a baity Tiddley-Winks not Daisy Sweet... Emailed seller, said they would ship Daisy - after several emails and weeks later, seems I was lucky to have Daisy arrive...
But, seeing as they have changed their ebay name(s) since then, I've just noticed a newbie named: kittybuu1985 and their location (Colchester, Essex UK) listed on ebay is the same location I had in my ebay 'you have won' notification from rossjarrett2011...
Could this newbie be the same person... again..? Sorry for speculating or throwing rumours out there, but users make you paranoid and you start second-guessing every newbie that comes! Especially since this newbie is dealing with ponies and their location is the same (and their photos are just as crappy!) :lol:

If she didnt ship it with tracking then she must have waited until the 9th to post your pony... which is a long delay if you paid on 26th! :crazy:

If she did that would be ok, but she never offered the tracking # to me. If she did just ship on the 9th I'm going to be TICKED! I will be her lovely 1st neutral or possible negative if the pony is in BAD shape.

Not a happy pony :( she shipped on the 5th, and the pony has a hair cut :( the symbols seem to be ok and was packed in a box and that seems like the only care she showed towards the pony.

She shipped nearly 10 days after the sale, pony has issues but I will not be returning her. Because I know shell resell to someone else :(

I am sorry hikari. I would maybe ask for a partial refund for her and tell her the pony has had a haircut. It wouldn't hurt to ask since you plan on keeping the pony.

If she has not responded, you also have the option of opening an Item Not As Decribed case. But they will most likely have you return the pony for a full refund and it will be dragged out even longer.
I would send another message and put Urgent Response. And politely explain to her that you are rather dissappointed in the pony and lack of communication. Do not mention anything about leaving her negative feedback or anything remotely close to do with feedback. She can report you. And if she then refuses to respond again, I would most certainly leave appropriate feedback.

I wouldn't hold your breathe for a reply - I purchased a pony last year from this seller and they set me the wrong one. I PMd etc etc but they still didn't get back to me. The pony they sent me wasn't one I had though, so I wasn't too fussed about sending it back. I did leave some honest negative feedback though.

I'd send her one more message - and send it to her email too (the paypal addy - you should be able to see it in your paypal history) ... just incase she didnt get the message through ebay. If she still doesnt respond, then leave the appropriate feedback.. or first try opening an item not as described case (stating that you want a partial rather than to return the pony) - that will get her attention ;)

Well she ignored my message. And left her a negative, since then at least one neg has been placed against her. I haven't checked today if anything else has changed.

I noticed a Mint Dreams I bought a while back from her re listed under a new ebay ID ( Pony had a cut mane not visable in pics) and sure enough she's back! Have to add that I purchased another pony from her at a later date and had a better experience x

Ive just bought THAT Mint Dreams for my sister!!!!!! :cry: :cry: and Strawberry Fair :cry: :cry: I had a BAD experience with her in the past on one of her old user names and have stayed well clear...I was so excited when I saw Mint Dreams for only £8.99 that I snapped her up as she and Strawberry Fair are on my sisters grail list
Ok ive been an Ebay member for 10 years with impeccable feedback, im sure I have upto 7 days to cancel my transaction don't I?? Thankfully due to the Jubilee there is no way she can post them out till Wednesday

Baby-yoyo I would message her and explain. I had a bad experience with one pony I bought and a good with the next. In my last sale with her she replied promptly and was very kind so do not panic! I actually asked her about this Mint Dreams and she did not think it had had a haircut but agreed it must have been the one I bought earlier in the year as it had be listed previously. Ask to cancel the sale, let us know how it goes x

I'm glad she was nice to you when you messaged her, I have politely asked for the transactions to be cancelled saying they are sadly no longer required, I have also said she can refund me £1.00 less to cover her BIN fees.
I bought some lots of G3s from her before and although some were excellent, 2 were beyond repair and were photographed in such away that you could not tell. I didnt end up making a claim or messaging her as I saw plenty of people had already left negative feedback and was worried by the time my case got sorted out I would have sent them back and got no money back.
My sister will be disappointed (she is Pangel on here btw), those two ponies keep eluding her but id rather she waited to get a nice one at a higher price than have one with problems.
I will let you all know what happens, thank goodness for the Arena, just wish id checked here before pressing the BIN button :blush:

As she has another on up for sale on BIN at £129.00 I think, I know you guys know to avoid this person like the plague but I thought id put this in as I think someone got scammed out of PE last time and I wondered if the same pic had been used in her recent listing
Like I said before I will update people if I get a refund, if not looks like I will have 2 x over priced baits in my hooves

*hugs baby_yoyo* :hug: that must have been a nasty shock to find it was this seller you were buying those 2 ponies from :( Hopefully you wont have too much trouble cancelling the transaction if you'd rather not risk it again, and yes you are right that someone else here did have a really awful time trying to buy a PE from her before under another of her previous IDs.

It's true that they are high on my want list (why is that I have just ONE pony missing from each of my G1 pony sets!?) - hopefully she'll cancel the transactions, you're in your right to. If not, I'd rather just give you the money for them, and sell them on for what I can to someone else who might want them in that condition, and forget about the whole ordeal.
This naughty seller's listings are always really easy to spot - she always has her listings in lower case. Had I known, I'd have advised you not to get them. :sad: Sorry for all the trouble you've gone to just for me. Reminds me of that 'rare Gusty' you found me one time... :lmao: Highlight of my collection!

So I asked politely to have the BINs cancelled - shes agreed to cancel them..great!
That was the 3rd of June, its now the 8th and ive still not had a refund :sad: :sad: ive sent her 2 messages reminding her she needs to refund my paypal account and...nothing. Its not much money £21.00 I think, but im super broke at the mo and every pony penny counts. How long do I have to wait before I can open a paypal case?? Ive been on eBay for 8 years and this is the first problem ive had like this.
Any help would be appreciated x

I'm not sure how long you have to wait before you can open a case, but don't wait more than 45 days, after that you can no longer file a claim with paypal.

Might want to look out for an eBay seller named josieannclaringbull2012 and jroberts0604-uk. I bought two ponies from the first seller a couple months ago that were described as being 1) in excellent condition and 2) in very good condition. When they arrived, they were anything but. The seller did allow me to return them, which was good, but I saw later that she relisted one of the ponies w/o explaining its faults to potential bidders. In the end, it wound up going for more than I paid, and I was so tempted to send this seller an e-mail admonishing her for not including that information in the listing. Not that long ago I bought two more ponies from the second seller. I'm still waiting on their arrival. After looking through my Paypal transactions, I discovered (completely by accident) that they are the same person. I'm not saying she is an awful seller, but maybe one to be wary of.

Wow. I just started a new post in here about a possible eBay scammer, and another Arena member (thanks, Skeen!) sent me the link to this thread.
A month or so ago I bought two ponies from josieannclaringbull2012, Glory (vgc) and Baby Licorice (exc. condition). When they arrived they were far from what I was expecting. Glory had a huge dent in her side and a massive haircut (which was conveniently hidden in the photo and not listed in the description). Baby Licorice was even worse. The front of her neck had been gouged, as if someone had been trying to chisel away at it. I believe this might be the same Baby Licorice mentioned earlier here by another member. Thankfully she allowed me to return both and gave me a full refund, but I saw later that she had relisted Baby Licorice and wound up selling her for even more than what I paid. I couldn't help but notice that she failed (yet again) to list the pony's flaws. I would have warned the other bidders, but of course I couldn't due to eBay's privacy policy.
Just last week I bought two more ponies (Baby Nightsong and Baby Ribbs) from jroberts0604-uk, and it wasn't until I checked my Paypal transactions that I realized it was the same person (Kim Speller). They arrived this morning and am happy to say they are more or less what I expected. Baby Ribbs has slightly rubbed symbols on both sides, but the listing did say it was in used condition and I didn't ask for more details before I bid, so that's my own fault.
I saw that someone mentioned kittybuu1985 as well. I bought a pony from her at the end of April and was disappointed when the pony arrived smelling smoky and with a major cheek rub. This seller is also in Colchester, so it seems a bit fishy, but the Paypal transaction says Carrie Greening. While I wasn't pleased with that purchase, I don't sense they are the same person as josieann/jroberts, etc.
So glad I found this forum! I will definitely be checking back frequently... scary stuff! :yikes:

Thanks, and thankfully it hasn't cost me too much in the long run. I just hope I am able avoid her in the future, whether by these or any other names. I am tempted to contact her via eBay and let her know she is listed as a scammer on a pony-collecting forum and that she would do well to deal honestly with her customers. But... I'd probably only be casting pearls before swine, as it were.

Oh noes! I'm soooo sorry to hear you bought that flawed baby Licorice as well, and that she still resold it a third time without listing the faults :sad: . Ugh what is up with this person! :throw: It doesnt seem like she ever learns her lesson, so unfortunately I think you'd be wasting your time trying to contact her. I would avoid her where possible in future though, and thanks for the extra info on her :hug:

Thanks for alerting us to this new seller. You're right, the listings have all the signs of being from the same seller. Same fuzzy pictures, same location, same listing style. I've bought from her under jroberts and josieannclaringbull, and had some problems (which, thankfully, were resolved). She is not entirely untrustworthy, though, so it seems very odd to me that she would go out of her way to make things so complicated for herself by creating new IDs all the time.

And then, I have seen this baby(it was for a swap) and was thinking to bid, because she has has a 0-Feedback...
Have open the case and will see what happen, glad that I have paid with paypal

i KNEW i recognized the name! wasnt sure if it was the one who sold me the 'Lemon Lots" or if it was the one i had to have a long drawn out battle to get my money back... id bought the 3 ponies from her (was totally thrilled- they were gonna be my first UK babies) spent over $70 on them, and they never showed up, and the seller was unresponsive. im fuzzy on the details but long story short after trying for months to hear from them finally opened a case with Ebay and got refunded. =[
