Hey guys, I just got a very INTERESTING (strange) G1 shirt off Taobao . . . you guys have to see this thing . . . :P

In regards to the tag, it doesn't have registered trademark symbols... So that's a bit of a red flag.
My tag that is similar also says My Little Pony brand. (brand in small letters under MLP). But it's a Japanese product, I'm not sure that matters.
I hate tags that look like the real thing. <_<

Taobao is something else! There is always a surprise :shocked: I've bought a few things on there, but it's kind of hard to buy using an agent from the US, plus their fees are a bit high.

TSMLXLT is a brand name with their own chain of stores and I found an article in Chinese talking about how they would be collaborating with Hasbro (https://heckyeahponyscans.tumblr.com/post/619319629161136128). The article also mentioned Wanaccessory's Hasbro collaboration, which is definitely legit, so I am thinking the TSMLXLT one likely is too.

well, a lot of the things sold on Taobao and Ali are grey market items. It's a marketplace of sellers, and sellers may or may not be authorized resellers of products or brands. There certainly are a lot of counterfeits out there running around - if they don't advertise the name brand, or have a mis-spelled variant of the name brand, it's a clue.
You get the fakies that are clearly fake and inspired by the real thing, but they don't pretend to be the real deal in the first place. But then you can run into branded items that are either counterfeit or gray market that have some variation of the official, copyrighted / TM logo and brand name on them.
Sometimes sellers will pick up discarded seconds of legit items, sometimes they'll manufacture replicas using genuine patterns / materials or pilfered accouterments, some are made from the same factories or production lines as their "genuine" counterparts, sometimes they're the real deal either legitimately acquired or not-so-legitimately acquired. Unless the seller admits straight up it's a replica (which some do) or something is so badly done there's no mistaking it, you can't always be sure. The fun stuff are the franken-items which are a combination of authentic and counterfeit parts puzzled together.
Sadly, there are a lot of independent artists in the pony community and for other things whose work is stolen from DA or Art Station and emblazoned without authorization on clothes and products and sold on these sites. Takedowns and infringement claims are not easy to manage even for the big brands, so independent artists have a much greater challenge to protect their work.

So I've already posted a lot of stuff about Wanaccessory's MLP line, but I wanted to show off this cute Bangles (I think it's So-Soft Bangles but it could also be Buttons) thing. Snap-on accessory? Not sure what to call it!

Yeah, it's hard to tell if that's Bangles or Buttons. The streak in her mane being red makes me think Buttons, but the eyes look more purple than blue

What makes me think it's Bangles is when they drew the other Costume Wear outfits, three of the model ponies are Angel, Crumpet, and Hippity Hop. So I think the other two are likely Taffy and Bangles, but it is a bit hard to say when you can't see their symbols.

Because I'm weak, I went back and ordered the Firefly and Sand Digger snap-ons today too. :P I also got a whole load of new My Little Lonies (the fakie Lego ponies) which I can't wait to show you guys! Just need to take pictures!

I was looking at the full products and boy are they pricey! But apparently they are licensed and the products were shown with Hasbro China- so they are legit! Pretty rare for Taobao...
I hope Hasbro USA re-uses some of that art...

Yeah, the Wanaccessory stuff is definitely licensed, some employees of Hasbro China were at their initial showing of their MLP line, which looked WILD. Highly customized G4 ponies, giant G1 retro cut-outs . . . But it does mean it's pricey . . . The snap-ons are the cheapest thing I could find, I think they're the equivalent of . . . $12 USD each?

It didn't used to be the case but yes, they implemented it a year or two ago, I want to say? Maybe longer? I used a translation app on my phone and navigated through the registration process. It was pretty unremarkable. They do ask for your phone number so they can send you a verification number to login.
I use Basetao (an importer) to do the actual shipping because most sellers won't send directly to the US. But Wanaccessory might be an exception, not sure. I just have Basetao ship all my stuff anyway, since I'm familiar with it.
I keep meaning to make a "how to use Taobao and Basetao" tutorial . . .

I thought about offering to buy them for other people, but when I sat down to figure the expenses, they turned out like this:

If anyone is interested then let me know, but I would require a non-refundable deposit of $100, to weed out flaky people. (I don't want someone suddenly changing their mind after I've spend $200 of my money to order one and get it shipped to me, lol.) The $9 is just a guess, it might cost more or less $$ to ship from me to someone else . . . Obviously way more if they don't live in the US.

You should have people pay the full cost of the item in full up front, not a portion of it.
