Any Animal Crossing players here?

Animal Crossing is my favourite game series ever.  I'm getting it on launch day here, which is June 14th. That happens to be the last day of my final exams so it's the best way of celebrating. I got a 3DS just after launch because Animal Crossing was teased at back then and after, what, three years it's finally coming out!

I have all the AC games (multiple copies of WW, actually). I can't wait for New Leaf - it's my finals right now, and NOTHING AT ALL has gone right in... months, I swear, so it's really awesome to have it.

I'm making myself work on my final website design today and get it done, and rewarding myself with New Leaf in the morning.

I love the Animal Crossing!  It all started with the gamecube of course and then the DS Wild World and of course the Wii version but I haven't played them in so long....waiting for New Leaf which looks absolutely adorable!  I might wait before I run out and buy it, but it's a big want. 

Congrats to those getting it ASAP, I can't wait to join in the fun!

I haven't played any Animal Crossing games yet, but this friend of mine has been so hyped up about New Leaf I've decided to buy it when we finally get the game to Finland - which means this Friday. Really looking forward to it though, everything just looks so cute and fun~

Could somebody explain how I can customize the hairstyle to my character? I know that the face the character gets depends on the answers I give in the beginning of the game, but what about the hair? I just keep finding these charts I don't understand, but I want to make sure my playable character looks as I want her to look.

On previous versions of the game, you'd just start with a default hairstyle, if I remember right. I think this version is the same (but I could be wrong). There is a shop on the game ran by a cute little poodle called Harriet, and you can go to her to change your hairstyle.   I'm gonna make mine pink! I love pink haired characters, haha!

I know the game is available in the eshop now, but I want a physical copy. I can't wait to go get it in the morning! Whee!!

I am tempted to download it from the eShop, but I will try to be a patient girl and wait until Best Buy opens. xD Hope I can get there when the doors open - I heard that at some other stores, they had barely received any non-preorder copies. One person said their Target only got in five, while a Walmart got in twelve copies. I don't know how popular AC is in my area, but don't wanna take any chances. xD

I'd imagine it would be hard to find, since I don't think many stores actually got in non-preorder ones. I was at my Best Buy this morning right when they opened, and I don't think they had any bundles on the shelves.
If Nintendo did this like how they did with the Pikachu one, most stores only got in a handful, save for pre-orders.

Is anyone else disappointed that in New Leaf, you can no longer send mail to players in different towns? I was kind of bummed when I discovered that. I loved sending people gifts in AC:CF.
