I've loved My little Ponies since 6 years old. I grew up in the 80-90's, so the G1 ponies are my favorite thing to collect. I moved to the States from Finland a year ago and was astonished of the availability of vintage My Little Ponies here. So I started to collect them - my dream has come true <3

I'm still a total newbie to the MLP "scene" and all over the place with everything, haha. So far I've been buying ponies on eBay and FB groups occasionally, the ones that I like. And I do need  help with identifying and such and that's why I'm here!

I haven't really had that much luck with the "wild" finds.. Sniffs. That would be my dream, but I live in a relatively small town.. I do go thrift shopping often, but then end up buying clothes I don't need, haha.

I'm thinking of buying this book -because I love the idea of having all of the ponies in a book I can look at = The My Little Pony G1 Collector's Inventory by Summer Hayes. Does anyone know if it's any good?

You are in the right place.  We are so glad you've joined us!

Whether that book is any good is a great question for a post in the Pony Corral where a lot of people are likely to see it.  Just go to that forum and start a thread asking the question and see what replies you get.

Without knowing anything about it, if it has all the ponies in it then buy one for me too!
