I think Megan and Sundance are an adorable pair and wanted to draw them. I'm exhausted from this and not satisfied and am so not in the mood to color! If anyone wants to color it for fun let me know and I'll send you the bigger file. :)

Flats are done! I've always wanted to draw that rainbow waterfall. Now I did. :D

I'm so glad you like her! I don't know if I like Mimic or Galaxy more. I'll get Locket done as well, kind of in a lull atm.

I actually started college studying fine art but only did it for a year before I chose to go a different direction in a pursuit of a better paying career. Which I regret now. I wish I'd gone to an art school like I wanted to do and studied illustration!

You said you wanted to see Sweet Stuff too, I was thinking of Gingerbread, she's a particular favorite of mine. We'll see how far I get before I get sick of the current theme. :lol: I seem to always work in a theme like this though, I pick a line of characters and do fanart of them until I'm bored with it, then move onto another idea.

Thank you both! It helps a lot to have people interested in this stuff, otherwise I think no one likes it and move on to something else. I'm happy you guys like it though :lovey: That makes me really happy!

I hear ya on the low pay that fine artists get. But graphic design isn't too bad. That's my profession :)
I work in the clothing industry though, not advertising.

Gingerbread would be awesome too! I'm not partial to the white ponies. I don't know why, they just never appealed to me.
But her mane and tail colours are super pretty and you could have a lot of fun with her symbol :)

I looveee white ponies! I don't know why. White ponies with colorful and especially rainbow hair are definitely my first favorite. I really love Gingerbread and Sweet Stuff but Gingerbread wins by a bit. All the TEs are such pretty girls though. :)

Finally I have Locket to show. I got stuck on the flat colors for a long time. I did them once and it didn't look right so I didn't proceed and it took me weeks to force myself back to it. Jeesh!

She's also supposed to be doing kind of a shh face but it didn't come across and I didn't feel like redrawing the hand again.. lol

Anyway, hope you all like her anyway!

I can't believe it's been two months. :O Quackers' lineart is almost done I just haven't felt like finishing. Slooooowwww as molasses.

I drew a lot today though. For practice, and then Neopets. I have an UC Plush Cybunny so I wanted to do some art of her (after making my own pet lookups today).

The imperfection bothers me. But still a lot better than the art I did of her two years ago! I think I'd be more satisfied if I vectored her.

I can't believe how long ago I started working on the humanized girls. o_o I never finished Quackers even though all I really need to do is finish the lineart a tad and color her. I'll try to get that done tonight.

One of the pony polls made me interested in drawing Island Delight.

All I really like is how her hair came out. I did this one surprisingly quick for me, like in a couple of hours while taking a lot of breaks surfing the web and chatting. I actually liked the sketch for this more than the lineart. O well. Learned some new stuff, so all is good. :thumb:

Quackers is still not done yet. I did flats and then began background work. The grass is annoying me. I'm really bad at backgrounds and I did it twice so far and neither was sufficient so it's on hold for now. ~_~ Hopefully not forever. I didn't want to show it til it was done but who knows when that'll be, so here we go.

Sorry she's so purple and is missing her freckles. I couldn't make the freckles work and I tried to adjust her to be more pink but it just washes out the shading. LMK if you want the pinker version. :)

Aw thanks! Tumblr was a good place to host private images for a while, maybe I'll have to move it. >_< I'll fix the links later. But yay! I think most aren't too big a fan of the ponies as girls so it's nice to hear it's enjoyed. I enjoy drawing girls most.

Edit: Fixed a bunch! Sadly it looks like Megan and Sundance is lost. I can't find where I uploaded her online and she's not in my art folder.

Thanks! Idk if I'm able to do anything but long flowy hair. I just love it. Actually some months ago I came across Godiva's logo and thought omg, that is exactly what I would design for my own company, down to the long flowing hair. Girl with long flowing hair and a horse!

I sat there wondering if I should keep it or if I should change it when I inked over the sketch. Ultimately I decided to keep it, and actually took great care in keeping her nose exactly as it was over everything else. :P I'm not personally one for critiques, by the way. I know artists differ a lot in that. To me it comes off as rude (although I know some people don't see or mean it that way) and I'd appreciate if no one offered them unless asked. Thanks for your compliment though!

Tonight I was inspired by a beautiful auction picture of Galaxy on Ebay.

I'm totally new at painting and am pretty hard on myself when trying new mediums which actually puts me off beginning something new, and put me off painting for YEARS. But I've been good about being like "no just stop worrying and go do it and learn from it." And I'm pleasantly surprised it's not been as awful as I thought it would be.

Didn't get around to doing a realistic portrait of my friend at work who requested one. Hopefully my next day off. :P

The first painting is lovely too, something different from what you usually see here! Yet it is instantly identifiable as a pony art, provided that the viewer knows anything about MLP. I love the soft, dreamy look.

As for your auto-lock question, it only happens when the thread has been inactive for about six months. The previous comments were from July so there was still plenty of time. :) Now it's reset again, of course. I'm glad to see you've been able to spare a moment for art despite being busy with work! Drawing is a great way to relax but I totally know the feeling, not having the drive even when you get a moment of free time.
