The things you find... (repair help)
« on: April 08, 2012, 01:35:43 AM »
I was digging around the basement, and I came across this cute little guy

No clue where he came from, probably a yard sale. But the poor thing is pretty dirty, and missing an eye

Anyone have an idea of how I could fix it? Preferably without the use of sculpey or some other modelling clay (I wouldn't have any other use for it)

I have one of these. But w/o the hooves and shes a diff colour. :) You could see if they are being sold on ebay or the such and gouge and eye from that one.
Also, it looks pretty similair(bad spelling I know) to the puppy in my pocket horse line. If you have one to compare, feel the fur. I wouldn't recommend washing it, brush it with a slightly wet comb and dry it after. Their fur falls off in big clumps.

I would suggest you could track down a replacement eye - doll shops, model shops and some art/craft stores will stock things like that but you would need to replace both eyes as its unlikely you could get a precise match...

Buying the same toy and removing an eye seems to mean you ll have another one with one eye - but maybe if you find a really baity one that would work

So the final option...make her a little eye patch! Very cute...
Thank you Matcha for my gorgeous Baby Fifi avi

You could always send her to me ;)  Seriously, I'll make an eye for you if you want!  I have lots of clay laying around and LOVE restoring toys.  Just drop me a PM if you're interested.

You could give him a little pirate (Round black) or medical (square white) eyepatch, or a cyborg eye!
