I don't understand why you don't answer to my PMs, so let's try it this way.
We had a trade, my package arrived with her, but i haven't had the one from her yet. I'm patiently waiting but asked if she could leave me feedback. I think that's my right to ask, because my ponies were as described and she said she was happy with it.
After my pony's arrived with her and she told me, no further communication. I had a second and third PM send asking for feedback, but not even a response. I don't get this, are all arena members just waiting for me to leave FB first, because they are scared i leave a negative and this way they can do it to me too?! I'm getting annoyed, as i think i deserve a good feedback. But i'm more annoyed Sternenstaub does not respond but is online posting here.
If honestly, i am very disappointed. If you don't want to leave a feedback just say it to me, but don't dissappear. I always had good contact with Stern before, but this made me change thoughts and i don't know if i want to do trades in the future, this way.
Am i soooooo unreasonable? If so, i don't see it. Sigh.

I'm also having issues with her.
I commissioned a couple of customs, and she got a large box full of ponies.
Mine arrived at her place, and she pm'd me that mines was on it's way too (without first showing me what my customs looked like)
Never received anything, and after a while she replied that the box with customs had been delivered at the post office near to me. (post office is my neighbor)
Now she told me she's thinking about sending my box back to me, which means she's thinking of keeping MY PERSONAL DESIGNED customs. Which actually makes me worried because in the begin she asked me if she could make a replica of my own personal design to keep for herself. Even though I told her to send me my customs, I didn't get a reply..

I don't think you are unreasonable. Feedback is very important and is part of what builds your reputation so it makes sense that you would want it, especially when you did what agreed to (sale/trade/purchase) and you know the person is satisfied. I guess I don't really understand why someone would be "nervous" to receive negative feedback unless they are aware that there was something to be unhappy of... I'm not sure what went on between you two (what kind of transaction I mean) and I'm not targeting any of this towards the other person involved so I hope nobody takes it that way. I do understand how this could change your feelings towards doing trades, I hope everything works out for you though and that all of this was just a mix up of some kind!

In a trade situation, I normally don't leave feedback until both parties have received and are happy with the transaction. Part of being a "good" trader is how you may deal with a problem should it arise. And while feedback is a very important part of our community, not every one leaves it (while nice, it isn't mandatory).

If that's the case, she could PM me and tell me. But there's no communication anymore - from her side.
Feedback is important to me too, because i want people to know what kind of buyer/seller/trader i am. I'm not that known on here yet (as seller/trader) so that's why i -kindly!- always ask to leave me some words. But you're right, there's more people who seem to not want to leave something. Thought it would be a small thing to ask, but i guess thats not the case in some ways.

I certainly agree that sometimes people for whatever reason just dont want to leave feedback - whether you are the trade partner, seller or buyer that is frustrating...we need to learn what we have done right and what we have done wrong. The more positive feedback someone has the easier it is for them to participate in sales, trades and even purchases.
Personally I dont think there is anything wrong in asking if someone is happy to leave feedback just dont expect that everyone will...and as cookhuman has mentioned on the Arena I know I would only leave feedback once the sale/trade/swap is complete in case there is an issue which needs addressed as "sorting out" the issue may be something you want to mention in your eventual feedback.
Have you checked to see if she has actually read your pms? I know sometimes this new pm system defeats me when it comes to new mail...

I actually agree with the people that say feedback should be left once both sides of the trade are completed.
But I'm sorry she 's not very responsive. I know how annoying that is. I just hope you and the other poster get your ponies!

Like i said to cookhuman too, it would be nice if she'd told me, if she wanted to wait till i got my pack too. Because when i don't get communication back, i don't have a clue about anything, and then it goes like this. :/

I'm having issues with communication as well...
She sent her half of our trade in January, and she received mine. I don't have MY pony though. :( I shipped hers with tracking, kept an eye on it. It gave me the usual notes until it hit German Customs, then stopped updating sometime in February. I sent her a PM a few weeks after the tracking data told me, "International shipment has arrived in a foreign country" and then stopped. She said she DID receive my pony. But I sent her a PM a day or so ago about if maybe she has received her package back or something, because my husband, our downstairs tenant, and I all check the mail fairly regularly and a package would NOT go unnoted. :( But without tracking, I don't have any ideas...
The frustrating thing is I don't think I have all my PMs, because this all happened about the same time as the Arena moving to a different server. :( But I would like some clue as to where to begin...

I am sorry to hear that so many of you are having communication issues with Stern. It seems she has been online as of today.
Unfortunately hokuspokus not everyone leaves feedback. It is part of being a good trader but noone can force individuals to do so. And I know we all try to remember to do so but sometimes life gets in the way. But I would of hoped after you messaged her several times that she would of but it seems that did not work.
LBS, so what I am gathering is you never received your pony from a trade with her from January. I would think after that amount of time and no communication that I would look into leaving appropriate feedback at this time. I know it's hard but after 3 months and no communication it leaves you really no other choice but to be honest.
I do hope she see's and responds to this thread for you folk's so that this matter can get cleared up as soon as possible.

I'm hoping that this thread will jog her memory as to where the postal receipt for my pony is, or *SOMETHING* that I can do because at this point, I am out of pocket for approximately $50 but no pony to show for it. :( I was really looking forward to getting this pony, but I hope he isn't lost in the mail! That would be TERRIBLE for us all!

I think you should note the communication difficulties in your feedback even if you leave positive or neutral. Accurate feedback is so important. It sounds like they might be trying to use their own feedback as a method of preventing other users from giving them negative. If she leaves you unwarranted negative I'd report it to the mods. If you guys completed your end and she was happy with what she got then there is no reason to leave you neg or neu other than as a retaliatory measure, which is not acceptable as in undermines the whole point of feedback.

Sadly... no. I checked her feedback and as she is a long-standing member of the community and also hosting a swap, I figured it would be all right to trade. Despite my husband mentioning that I should cut back on international trades... yeah... I've almost learned my lesson. :(

:( wow I'm so sorry to hear that there are a number of people having issues ATM . Stern said something about having internet problems not so long back, but she has been back online posting again and she is hosting a swap , so she should be answering her PMs and working things out with you all. Hopefully this thread will get her to respond. It may take a few days since its a holiday and sometimes that means people are less active here for that time, but she really needs to sort things out

I would think she'd have to respond there, considering it's her board and all (or at least moderates on it, I can't tell for sure if she or Baby Sugarberry started it).

I did a private trade with sternenstaub in December/January. She said she was going to send me two boxes. I did get one of those boxes in January. However, she send she was going to send me a second box but its been months and months no box. She told me sent sent the box January 5th. Its now April. She answered my pms she told me she would send me a replacement box if I didn't get the box she sent me. I would like to think that she would though. I am not sure if she will or not. I do hope she responds here too. Anyhow, I am glad I did get one box from her.

Oh, then I'm waiting on a package from her too. I last heard from her Monday over on the Trading Post (Zaradess over there) where my transaction with her started. I was planning on asking about tracking if it isn't here tomorrow since that will put it as just about one month since she said she sent it.

I'm a member in Sternenstaub's forum and I only know her as a very reliable person. I have both bought from and sold to her, we also did some trades and everytime there were no problems at all. She would never rip off people! So I hope that everything will work out here.
I sent her a PM over at the forum pointing her to this thread.

She never send me a Track&Trace number and she also said that my package was delivered here at the post office, but they are my neighbors and they didn't get anything :(

You know that I sent you out your parcel but it was returned to me - because you haven't picked it up from your post office - that is the answer I got from my post service!!
Maybe you haven't got a notice from yours - but I already told you that I must see first who will cover for the second shipping costs - I guess anybody will understand that I will don't pay twice around 20,- Euros for a parcel which was returend - and it wasn't my fault.
So then you ask me to make changes on your customs , because you now wanted changes...
I also offered you to return your ponies as a second solution when that works better for you.
I got no replies on my last 2 mails...
I also told you to contact me here by PM - because they made changes in my emailaccount and a lot of mails go lost for anxy reason...
So Skelletonimp - I ask you again - what do you prefer??
Do you want the changes on your customs?? Or do you want the trade ponies back??
And how we work on the shipping costs??
I don't say it's your fault - but it isn't my, too.
Any solution from your side would be helpful!

First one with the big bundle Blind Bags and second one with the two missing Blind Bags I find a few days after shipping your first box.
Just that you don't think anything is missing when parcl 1 arrives. :)

For anxybody who is waiting for tracking info from me:
As I told a lot of you before - I've had a notebook crash a few weeks before - I usually save all my shipping details there - but I can't get the information back.
The only way is the post shop were I sent out all my parcels - they make a double scan there and thexy have a history of all my parcels I sent.
It's the only place where I can also look for tracking again and where I can open a claim to find out about the parcels state.
The Shop is a bit away from me that I can't go theer every day - but I already told a few of you that I will go there after the Easter weekend to check it out again.
An just in case - you should know that international mail can take several weeks or sometimes also month...
EDIT 2:
I was in a trade with ashlyne as well - her parcel was mailed out at the same time like the others - she received hers a few days back... that let me hope that the other will also pop up soon.
I'm also in several swaps - and when I'm really a soooo bad person - then plesae ask all the swap hosts - I always ship in time - and I'm always one of the hand full persons who always ship registered or insured!

Stern thank you for coming on and explaining your side.
I understand your dissapointment because noone likes to see their name in TS. But I don't think anyone has accused you of being a bad trader. It seemed more of a concern with communication and if you were having trouble with your emails then it would explain alot.
I am not sure what your original deal with skelletonimp was but I hope the two of you can come to some sort of agreement that satisfies you both. If the package was refused though it is definitely not your fault.
Again I thank you for coming on and explaining your side but could you also address the concerns of LBS, breyer600 and Skycakes? Or drop them a PM and let them know what the status of their trade is.
*edit* we must of been typing at the same time :P I see you already addressed them.

I never said you were a bad trader and you did not get back at 2 PMs, that's why i tried to get an answer this way. I don't think it's wrong that i want an answer from you and i did not try to make you look bad. I explained in my starting message what was going on and NEVER said you are unreliable what-so-ever.
And you are telling me now we had problems at Ebay??? We just mailed during that time because i was scared my pony was lost in the mail (because it took over 2 months to arrive) There were no furter problems at all, as far as i know. So i have no clue what you are talking about.
I'm sorry after my posts, other people shared their stories too, but i can't be responsible for reply's for other members.
My thread was NOT mean or make you look bad. I see you have sended a PM so i will read it right away. I just had to response on this first, because you say people try to make you look bad, but you do the same by saying you had problems with me on Ebay too. Guess i missed that..

I already told to a mod in here about the situation - it seems that a few people let me look as a bad person...
BUT - How bad can I be?
I've 100% positive feedback?
I did a lot of trades and sales before - nothing wents wrong?
I'm in at least 95% of all swaps here - I always ship in time and I'm one of the hand full members who always ship registered...
I donate for the arena...
I host 1-2 swaps a year by myself...
I helped Scraleos with a replacement box when one box in her swap was missing...
And lots more!!
I also offer replacements when realy really will any of these parcels lost - but I don't believe that.
What more can I do?

Ok glad to hear that! :) Because i agree we had a good transaction on Ebay.
Like i PM'ed you, i don't think you are a bad trader and you do have lots of good feedback so you can't be a bad trader!
But i can understand it's intimidating when there's all of a sudden negative messages on here. I really can understand that must make you feel sad! :( And i hope that everyone who's reading this topic knows i did not start it to make you look bad, i just wanted to clear up communication!
I hope you feel a bit better and things clear with the other responders!

I don't think Im calling her a bad trader either. Sometimes transactions get behind with people. I don't think anyone's calling you bad. Its an easy mistake. I'm not worried too much about you sending me another box if the first one doesn't make it here.

Sounds like everything is in order now. :) I'm so glad you were able to find each other and work it out. International shipping can cause many problems and delays, which is why communication from seller to buyer is so important. I'm happy to see this get all worked out.

Got a PM from Sternenstaub - she offered to replace my pony or pay for the trade. :) YAY communication!
I let her know that if she happened to still have the receipt, I can talk to our post office (which knows me fairly well) and see if they remember a package from Germany. If it was attempted to be delivered and somehow missed us, they might remember filling out the return to sender form. :) Otherwise I am happy to talk about other methods of fulfilling the trade.
Like I told her... there really is nothing we can do because the package is with the postal system right now. Either we wait and it shows up here, or we wait and it shows up there. I'm just glad to have communication, even if it's "nothing yet". :)
I DO NOT think she is a bad trader... I just know that it's not very exciting to tell people that they know nothing about where their packages are if there's no tracking. :) *pony hugs*

I send the pm before reading your post on here. I would love it if you could finnish them. I'm very sorry for the communication problems, hotmail is not as good/safe as it used to be.

Hopefully my new camera will make also better pictures then the last and shows the true colours.
Not only hotmail is stupid with their mailing system - also my providot lost on service and quality - the made changes and a new design and now it doesn't work 100%...
Anyway - I hope we've sorted that out now and we will not have any trouble again!

It is also human nature to get defensive when we hear or read things about yourselves that are not positive. And I think you have handled the situation very well and everyone has been addressed that needs to be addressed.
Also if we could just keep this thread up to date as to when parcels have been reshipped or arrived, that would be great ;)

I don't think you're a bad trader either. :hug: I haven't been too worried since I'd had heard from you within the past week plus it hasn't quite been a month since they were shipped. I mainly posted here to offer the TP as an alternative place to try to make contact if necessary.

I agree with this. I have bought from you stern many times in the past and i had never any problems. I dont think anyone sees you as a bad trader. :)

Hi Stern: I had a swap with you on your site and you let me know you received your ponies but I still haven't gotten my customs. I know you said you had tracking for them so could you please remember to get my info too? Could you either send my ponies I sent you back, or pay for the ones you received.

I received my parcel not long ago.
I alraedy PM'd you - your parcel is in the uS already and still in the process to pass customs. I know that the US customs can be the pain and sometimes hold parcels for weeks - same happened with my advent calnder swap box - it tooks weeks after it was trackable the first time on uS ground until they delivered it - so I'm no in panic yet.
But another thing steph. - there is a member in my forum waiting for a parcel from you since month. She's a bit upset at the moment, too. You send her a proof of shipping - I saw the pic, but it only says it was shipped anything to Germany - you can't tell for sure that it was her parcel. The springing point is - the tracking on the proof is only the customs receipt number - it works for parcels in the US - but not outside - usps will not cover for any lost when you only have these customs receipt number.
When someone ask you for tracking - choose First Class + Registered Mail next time - it's not to expensive and it give you a real trackingnumber - also the post services cover for lost parcels that way.
Okay what I can offer you - we should wait until you finally receive my parcel - that give us a few more days until the parcel can show up to my members house. When it doesn't arrive in the meantime we must think about a solution!!

Germany is getting slower with their mails/packages. I live in Holland, so you'd think that would not take long, but i waited a long time for packages from German sellers.
Don't think Stern personally can't help this, as it seems to be a problem with German post in general.

Just to have a update here. I got both her packages today. She sent a make up package too as well as the other orginal package. I shall post a brag in as soon as I can get around to it. But I guess the mail can be very slow. Customs makes it slower. :/

Received the missing parcel and I also sent her already a replacement package when I tought the first one was lost - also the second parcel arrived and she has a few goodies extra now - but I'm absolutely okay with it. :)

Made the changes and the ponies will shipped again with my next stop at the post office. Will sent you the trackingnumber then. When you receive them safetly we can work on the postage costs - contact me when you have them on hand. :)

I hope they are just overloaded - but like I already told you via pm - I already opened a claim and if your parcel will not show up soon, I have already a replacement for you on hand.

Yep, my first package with eight of the ten blind bags arrived just last Friday. :frolic: The second package with the final two is apparently still stuck in customs, but I'm hopeful that won't be too much longer since the first finally made it. (If I'm reading the postmark correctly, that first one was shipped back on Feb. 24 :whoa: ) I'll update here when the second arrives as well.
