Customs / Re: Seeking Custom Help - The Clay!?
« on: March 16, 2014, 02:17:34 PM »
I swear by apoxie sculpt!  I've been using it for years.  I love that I don't have to bake it, because it cures on it's own once mixed.  It holds detail well, and once it's cured, you can sand it, and paint it.  The only down side is once it's mixed, you have about 2-2 1/2 hours of work time before it gets too hard.  I buy mine direct from www.avesstudio.com

I've made a YouTube video covering several tips and FAQ's about apoxie.  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_sF9s--daao

As for customs I've made with apoxie...

Customs / Re: Issues with Re-Hairing tool
« on: March 16, 2014, 02:03:23 PM »
Take some sandpaper, and run it over the cut edge of the needle.  I've had this problem before, and I cut my own needles.  After running the sandpaper over it a couple of times, I was good to go, with no cut hair! :)

:grouphug:  Thanks, everyone!  :D  I've kept in touch with a few arena people on facebook, so I didn't disappear entirely.  I also attended my first MLP Fair last year, and met so many people!  Funny enough, I was shaking more from excitement, then anxiety.  It felt more like a huge gathering of friends than strangers.  <3

Skeen, I am proud of myself!  I've gone from wearing a size 5x to a 2X! I've cut out all unnecessary sugars, carbs, and junk, and finally kicked my life long Dr. Pepper habit.  (3 weeks soda free tomorrow!)  I just started hitting the local pool for an aquacise class.  :)  It's been a complete 360, and has been hard, but as it gets more and more "normal" it gets easier.

There is a Rarity that bends at the elbows and knees!  I bought one, just so I could use the body for my custom.  Those are old pics of her, I haven't taken any with the new body.  Best part is there is no paint on the body!

I've been working on an EG custom off and on for a while.  It's going to be my persona.  Luckily, my persona is a white pony, so I just used a Rarity body.  I do plan on making a :muffin: doll.  I had planned on just airbrushing it, and using a good sealer.  I do expect the joints to have paint loss, but hopefully the clothing will cover it.  Rehairing was easy enough, but it did take a long time because there where so many holes!  Be sure and be careful around the ears, because the holes can split.

  Hey everyone! Man, it feels like ages since I've posted here.  I thought I'd give everyone an update on what's going on in my life.  :)

Basically, I kinda fell into a huge depression, and let my social anxiety take over my life.  I've spent the past three years dealing with chronic pain, and fighting for disability.  After I received my last denial, I basically gave up.  I felt depressed, and saw no reason to to go out, and no reason to live.  I became almost hermit like, and turned into an emotional eater.  I've always been a big gal, but I managed to put on over 100 pounds.  This of course, did nothing for my pain, or my depression.

But, all that is in the past.  I'm still working on my disability, but I've also decided I needed help for the mental problems.  I sought out help, and I'm proud to say this past year, I've lost 100 pounds, and four dress sizes!   :accomplished:  I feel so much better about myself, and I'm starting to get out of the house more, I'm getting back into my art, and even attempted dating.  :P

So that's what's new with me!  Plan on seeing a bit more of me around here again! :lovey:

I've done a few boys using the G4 girl's bodies.  I just build up the nose with apoxie clay.  I also made a youtube tutorial about it:  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_sF9s--daao

Thank you so much, for the lovely compliments, everyone. :)
Again, I am open to reasonable offers on her, I just can't do trades atm.

She's so amazing! I love all of the detailing! Which (pocket) pony did you use for the base?

She was a very baity sweet pocket.  :)  She had very little hair, and no symbol at all.  Here's a wip pic.

This girl was my entry for this year's Hasbro Inspired contest at the fair. :)
She's for sale in my etsy shop (link in my siggie).  I am open to reasonable offers, but I can't do trades at this time.  Thanks for looking!

She has been airbrushed a lovely white, with pearly accents, so she shimmers. Her hair is a blend of several different nylon colors, and she features a hand sculpted saddle covered in Strawberries and blossoms. She can be removed from her stand for easier shipping, and I do ship overseas.

Oh, I want to play!  It'll give me an excuse to draw!  I'll claim Silver Wisp.  :)

For mine I'll say, Sugar Song.  Earth Pony, Female
