The loyal subjects vinyl figures. I got one! Anyone else seen them?

Does anyone else find these a little odd-looking? Their bodies are chibi-like in proportion, but the heads just have regular G1 proportions... A little odd, isn't it? Do they look better in person?

There was a big thread when these were first announced about how much people didn't like there proportions, it seems this is just how loyal subjects make their toys.

As to the head shape, I put some pics in my post on page um, 14? under the spoiler where I show the head from some front angles and while they were off-putting to me at first, the shape does afford a forward-looking sort of eye view eh...maybe a little similar to the baby ponies I guess.

They are a little more articulated than they seem, I had to kinda force the head firmly to get it to turn that far.

Yes the Firefly wings are sort of a ball-joint, similar to Guardians of Harmony or these figures' tails but, they pop out even easier than the GoH Shadowsbolts wings and in their original orientation, the molded hair really obstructs them so in most of my pics I switched left with right and they are actually upside down, where they are more downswept, so they have more range of motion without being as blocked by the hair.

While the range of motion is limited, it is a bit free with the left-to-right motion of the legs and the weird proportions do give a center of balance that is forward enough to have them stand on front hooves and they do stand in rearing poses on two hooves pretty easy (though the tail has to go to the side as it doesn't lift up enough).  On all three of these, I could get them to balance on one rear hoof and on I think all but Minty I got them to balance on a single front hoof.  I was trying to get them to stand two together pushing off each other with one hoof each, and hold another one up with the other hooves but I couldn't get that to meet-up...yet.  At the bottom of the "tower", the head-standing Applejack tail is turned all the way around forward to go with the reversed gravity.  At any rate they can do quite a bit more posing than it looks like they can do, and they can lie almost flat so they can lie on top of a shelf or something peeking over the edge.

Well I tried one of the Barnes and nobles near me. I saw power rangers from the loyal subjects, but no ponies. I also tried the comic store near it and they don't have any at the moment but they do have some on order and should be here in 2 weeks. So if the Barnes and nobles don't get them at least there's one place I can go to.

Oh I hope 2 weeks is accurate. I'm waiting so patiently for my pre-order that was supposed to ship in July.... now it is August. *waits by mailbox

That's the same way things have been at my Barnes and Noble since I heard these were coming out. They only have Loyal Subjects Power Rangers in stock.

Meeee!  My first one I opened from B-A-M was a Lickity Split!  I couldn't believe it!  So now I have LS, Glory (x2), Princess Sparkle (x2), and an Applejack.  I went back for another one the other day, but they were all gone. UGH  LoL
