I found a dirty one at value village, and after I cleaned her up, she was pretty muchnear mint.

My best memory was Christmas when I was 6. Like all kids, I was up ridiculously early, 5am or so, and went to wake my parents up. They groggily told me that I could open one present if I would go back to my room for another hour at least. So I picked the biggest one I could see. It was the ice cream parlour with Scoops! They put it together for me quickly and sent me back to my room. I didn't bother them for another two hours. :)

Pony Corral / Re: How Did You Start Getting Into Other Gens?

I had G1s throughout my childhood. I never did like the look of G2s ('skinny' ponies were weird for me), but I don't mind them so much now, though I still don't collect them. Luckily for me, G3 came out when my daughter was about 3 (the perfect age to start her out!), so I collected those for 'her'. G4s are sort of hit and miss for me. I like some, like the vinyls and the pearlized, but most of them I can pass on, especially since there are just so many variations on the same ponies over and over.

Are these the blind boxes? If so, then yes! All I've been able to find here are series 3 and 4 though. :)

Definitely Pinkie Pie. It seems like no matter what kind of ponies I find at Value Village, there's a Pinkie in the bag somewhere. I usually just donate them right back. I think at one point, I had 9 or 10 various Pinkies.

I got her for my birthday (Nov. 1) when I was 8 I think, maybe 7. The package was addressed to me and after my parents' let me open it, they told me that she was very special because she was only for people born in November and they had to order her through the mail. Still have her. :)

Sorry it took me a few days. Here's some Posey for you. It's hard to tell, but her hair is still light pink. I've just given her a light cleaning, but I don't see any rubs or any sort of permanent marks on her at all.

I love this pony! She is super cute. I want all variations, pretty much.

Pony Brag Arena / Childhood dream (mostly) acquired!
« on: June 24, 2016, 04:23:39 PM »
On Thursday, I was mentioning to my SO how much I wanted the dream castle growing up, but never got it. She said she wished that her family had kept theirs and we shrugged and continued on.
We went to Value Village later that afternoon and no kidding, on the shelf, I looked up and saw ponies on a box. It was the dream castle! I had to get it, of course. It was only $7.99 too.
So I got it home and took everything out and cleaned it. Most of it is in there, but the hinges are mostly broken, though that isn't unfixable. There was also a green show stable in the box with missing hinges.
All in all, I totally can't complain about finding this for such a price especially on the day that I was lamenting about it.
