If you cannot view the link, please PM me

Crumpet and baby - $100 OBO

Bouncy - this poor girl arrived with BURNED hair! Abuse cases like her always get the royal treatment, so she got a new color scheme inspired by those unicorn horn lollipops at the county fair...candy stripes on her rich bright yellow really make her stand out! $35

Twilight - another abuse case! I rehaired her in her original pink color, but left the mane slightly longer. She has perfect symbols and her color is to die for! Absolutely gorgeous pony! $60

Wind Whistler - this special pony is one of my personal childhood ponies, one of my first deflock/rehair projects that taught me the art, and recently returned from a walkabout tour visiting collector friends back east. Her mane is double sided - displayed one way, it's ombre blue. But flip it over, and it's frost blue/lavender/pink. She is available for adoption by special request, and will come with a certificate of authenticity to document her history.

COMING SOON - Scrumptious and Fifi! No prices on these gals as they are not yet finished, but they are both stunning and have original hair in perfect condition.

Wanted! / ISO G1 bait Heartthrob pose!
« on: April 11, 2018, 02:26:45 PM »
I need a pony in the Heartthrob pose for a custom, any condition except damaged. It'll be getting a full repaint and rehair, so stains and haircuts don't matter.
I have some nice ponies for sale and trade as well.

These ponies are in excellent to near mint condition - WAY too nice to even think about deflocking. They need to go to make room for ponies in need of restoration! CHEAP - 2 for $10 (plus shipping) or trade for grubby So Softs.

Shady - near mint, zero flocking loss, no stains
Cherries Jubilee - excellent, eartip rubs only, no stains
Truly - excellent, eartip rubs, tiny rub on underside of left hind foot (not visible), tiny mark under her tail. VERY white, totally clean, thick lush flocking!
Buttons - very good, a few stray marks but no flocking loss

Pony Corral / G1 Curly Locks and the Mystery of the Fading Pink Stripe
« on: February 20, 2018, 12:32:45 AM »
Ok collectors and dedicated pony followers, need your help on this mystery!
First off, tell me about "fading pink hair"...my assumption is that it takes sunlight and exposure for it to lose color. A Posey or Wind Whistler still on the hang card should have perfect hair color right?
I recently unearthed a G1 Curly Locks from my childhood collection...I got her very soon before the big move that put all my ponies in storage, carefully wrapped up individually and placed in a heavy cardboard box, for 25 years. She looks essentially brand new, but her hair has a white stripe, with zero evidence that there ever WAS any pink.
All the pics show her as the first stripe of the mane being that fading pink color - but is it possible that some ponies had white instead? How could a pony whose entire life has been spent in a box pretty much, have lost the color so perfectly and completely? Is there a chemical process at work that I don't know about? Her "pink" stripe is thoroughly and totally white, exactly the same as the bottom mane stripe...and it's perfectly white right down thru the roots. What the heck is going on here? Are factory mistakes in hair colors a known thing in the MLP realm?

Ok guys, I'm totally beat but I simply MUST brag. This was my first attempt at a restoration of this scope...and I love it!

These two ponies were my very most favorites as a child, and I just rediscovered them stashed away in storage along with about 30 others. Thier flocking had big bald patches from being ridden by GI Joes, sticky chocolate stains, chopped hair, and overall just thrashed...but so very loved! Can't tell ya how many bubble baths they shared with my filthy 8yr old farm kid self...their innards were just...eeeeewww!!....

So after alot of study and practice on various restoration techniques, I started on a full makeover of this pair - and literally just finished tonight!
In both cases the hair couldn't be saved, and, both had a single color mane n tail. I really love lots of beautiful color, so since this is a major custom overhaul, why not go nuts and give them an awesome palette in the hair? Sounds great, I'm down! Check it out...

Please excuse the ugly background and poor lighting of my work table...thier hair was finally dry and it's pitch dark out (plus my shoulders seriously ache and my hands feel like raw hamburger after 2 days of rehairing). I haven't had a chance to do any curling or styling yet either... photoshoot to come later on a sunny day!

I really enjoyed this experience and have several more bait So Softs who will be getting the same treatment. It's extremely satisfying to see a gnarly pony shed her layers of gross and be reborn as a shining beauty! If you've been wanting a particular deflocked pony for your collection just ask, she might be waiting in my project box :) This is an art form just like painting, I love the challenge of blending hair colors literally strand by strand to match my vision - and believe me, the pony herself tells me what colors she wants to wear in her new form!!
Challenge question: how many colors did I use on each of these two ponies? (Totally not fair  I know, cuz the lighting sucks, I'll post new ones in sunlight I promise!)

Just completed my first rehair, VERY pleased with how she turned out! This is like the 3rd deflock I've done, got my process down, she's super clean with not a bit of glue or fuzz anywhere. Her hair was beyond help, so I figured, she's already custom so why stick with the original boring light purple? (Ok, I admit it, I love colors and wasn't able to resist getting a variety of shades from Dollyhair)
She was one of my favorite childhood buddies, her flocking was pretty much gone from all the flying she did - it makes me so pleased to see her beautifully restored and her new name is Slipstream - her hair naturally wants to be swirled around her just like the air around flying things!
I'm nearly finished with her sister Jetstream... Wind Whistler who was also deflocked and rehaired in an incredible ombre pattern in blues, with her signature pink stripe. Definetely kicking butt with the color blending!

When you finish rehairing, how do you trim it to shape so the ends don't look choppy? Styling hair is unfortunately not one of my talents.
I might consider selling one or both (to make room for new projects!), what do you think, is this a deflock you'd want to own or should I be sticking to factory hair colors?

I haven't figured out how to embed pics on these posts yet cuz I'm really new here, help? The link below does work (for me anyway)
Let me know what you think!

Wanted! / Wanted - G1 So Soft bait for deflock
« on: February 12, 2018, 04:07:11 PM »
Looking for the nastiest, grimiest So Soft ponies in need of a serious makeover.
Dirty, lots of flocking loss? Perfect. Hair frizzed beyond help, cut into a mohawk, or just missing altogether? Even better!
I can't help ponies with damage like missing body parts or deep teeth marks tho...

Most interested in So Softs that did not have an unflocked counterpart in the USA. Would especially like to do a Magic Star, Bouncy or Paradise as my next project...Twist would be a holy grail!

Introductions / Greetings!
« on: February 11, 2018, 10:57:58 PM »
Hey all!
I live on the rainy Oregon coast...just recently found a box of treasure while cleaning out closets - my childhood collection of G1 My Little Ponies! I've been working on restoring them. Some my favorites were So Softs and boy were they, ahem, well loved. After deflocking they're gorgeous...and I just finished rehairing North Star, holy cow she turned out sooo cool! I'll post pics later after her new hair is dry and styled.
Looking forward to checking out more custom works to get ideas...Wind Whistler is next up for a makeover!
