Got the metallic on pre-ordered since my money is pretty tied up for June and that's when the regular one is being released. I can't wait, though!
For anyone on the fence due to the price: these are worth every penny, trust me! ^.^ Plus, with these being so limited, the price will only go up from here. My Stay Puft Hikari figure is still my favorite Funko product that I own.

No idea. I'm sure we'll get a Hot Topic exclusive at some point. Late summer was the projected time for these to be released, so the fact that the regular one is coming out next month was surprising enough. Also, there's a chance that all the variants we saw from the toy fair won't actually be made.

Yikes! :shocked: She's just $59 USD on Gemini Collectible's website, which I found a little odd since she was more on Entertainment Earth's site. I'm suddenly so thankful I live in the US when it comes to this type of thing.
I guess I still don't understand the whole lack of orange complaint. Do you want the orange in her hair to be lighter or...? Because her vinyl figure for sure has orange in the hair and it's noticeable enough. I'll admit that I don't see orange on the Hikari figure, but they also don't have pictures that show any angle other than one that doesn't really show off the entire thing.
But this debate has been done enough. I'm not dissing Funko, I'm just disappointed lol.

Still pretty expensive at $79 shipped- but the edition size is so small for the metallic one, it seems unlikely she will turn up for sale at some point.

Oh they will sell out- 225 is an insanely small edition size. They sold out within minutes the first time. I think they opened sales back up because people overspent on the SDCC Hikaris and cancelled their orders- and not many (except those checking the side daily like me) noticed they came back up :)

do you mind posting pics of all of your hikari ponies when you have them? I only have 2 and am on the fence about getting the noir, blue glitter and the metallic. but i am leaning towards the blue glitter and i think we have more to come...
I am still seriously debating giving them one more chance with the Regular Glitter RD, she really does look great... but Funko's QC is really upsetting, they never even bothered replying to me about it.

I only own this one, and I just love the quality! She feels similar to the TRU glitter fashion style rainbow dash in comparison! The regular glitter is one of the cheaper ones so I say go for it!! I mostly see people reporting about poor quality, paint errors, and glue with both the regular solid (first one released) and the metallic one. I decided to not get those two and try to collect the rest of them! :heart:

I would say the glitter regular rainbow dash's mane and tail are a little metallic now that I get a better look at her!

Hey, so I saw a few in-hand resales of the BBTS Color Storm Hikari ponies floating around, so I think they are shipping or shipping soon? I'm SO excited! This is the one I remember freeeeaking out about in February! Seeing pictures of her in the box is making me go crazy!

I wish they had made a second figure, but POP culture changes so fast- and production time is 6-9 months from start to finish, so the question really is- will it still be cool and sell well almost a year from now?
I think probably yeah. I hope they do Luna or Nightmare Moon or Chrysalis, or Twilight... I think Luna is the most popular character for non-children.
If they did Pinkie, I don't think it would sell quite so well...

Expect Toy Fair to probably have one I think they are waiting to reveal the new Vinyls and Hikaris at Toy Fair, remember we first saw all these Rainbow Dash's at Toy Fair 2015. If the next Hikari is a mane 6 my vote is for Fluttershy! I would want to see a Butterfly glitter variant where she is full of little butterflies! Also really would love a Rarity or Luna Hikari!
And my BF just got me the regular Glitter for my B-Day/Valentines day. 0.o... my first Hikari ever! And, wow they are very light. XD
I got the original colored one and it is very poor quality, not like any I've seen in review videos. There are huge gaps where the different pieces fit together and one leg and one arm broke off with the slightest pressure. I'm going to have to rework all the connection points to make them fit together properly and then re-glue them.
I'm also disappointed in the complete lack of mass. It seems like it might be polystyrene. I like my toys to weigh something. Still love its look though; I will fix it up.

For sure my figures are far from perfect- I also don't like that wing gap, and there are smudges and flaws of all of the ones with a paint jobs - but I actually still really like them, they look pretty amazing displayed together. For sure the clear glitter ones look the best- probably because there is no paint to smudge!

I knew someone would ask me that! Let's just say they are not exaggerating when they say these are not toys and are for display only...
Mine doesn't have any paint smudges whatsoever that I can find, so once I fix up the fit of the joints and reglue them, she should look as good as the ones I've seen in videos that look perfect. I bought one for the clean look of the face after disappointment with the regular vinyls having poorly-finished big seams on their faces. I really love the face on my Hikari. When I get her fixed up, she will definitely stay mostly in her display box after this.
Do the clear glitter ones have better joints? The ones I see in pictures look really perfect. How rich do I have to be to go for that glitter muffins-looking one...I can't look!
I don't know anything about getting them signed, but if it were me I'd bring a lot of them and give it a try, Good luck!

I guess I'm not sure what you mean by joints? I am guessing you mean the connection between the wings and the body right? Of the 5 that I have- the wings on my "original" edition, and one of the wings on my color storm- appeared to have a gap instead of lying flush with the body. I wouldn't recommend this necessarily- but I actually pulled the wing off my color storm and then reglued it so it would be flush... my others, Noir, Mettalic, Glitter color storm- the wings are flush. So I think it probably varies.
