We have 15 figures now! Whoooo. Echo_Shell I don't think cynder is out yet? I know they are being weird about release dates. I am dying for Wham Shell!

Cynder's all over ebay (for $40+) and I've spotted a few (very few) from the same set she seems to be from available at stores.  When we talked to the gamestop guy, he was like "they have a 2 hour shelf life" so I wouldn't be surprised if she were all over town but only during the two hours I was asleep or playing Dragon Age.

Its really not that popular here. I mean, I can go to GameStop on any given day and see their shelves crammed with figures. I honestly think its kind of silly to have to buy accessories to play a game. Me, I want to BUY the game, PLAY the game and be able to enjoy it as is. A game to me is poorly designed if you don't have all the components required to enjoy it already included in it. DLC is different, seeing as its additional content that gives you *more* than what was already included, and doesn't clutter up your house with useless junk...Neh, but I guess some people look at ponies and see useless junk too ^^;Still,  I dont like having to buy 15 bucks worth of extra characters just to play the game more efficiently. Seems dumb.  Maybe I'll go to GameStop and start Ebaying them

And far from being a silly, poor design, this game is brilliant.  People buy the game, decide they like it and THEN they go buy lots of figures.  OR they buy the figures (like me) because they're so neat and THEN buy the game because we wanna play with our figures.  Then both groups go out and buy MORE!!!  It's a genius concept!  Easily on par with Pokemon.

At least with Pokemon it isn't a sink hole of (real life) money for every creature you catch. They're all already in game Is there even a demo on Xbox Live?

Not sure if there's a demo on any system.  But I feel I should mention that each game comes with three characters - more than enough to play and enjoy any game of this sort.  The extra characters and such are simply that - extra.  You buy them if you want, but there's nothing demanding that you do so.  In that way it is no different from DLC.  You forgo the DLC and you are left with less than the full game.  You download all of the DLC and you can easily spend several times the cost of the game itself just for a few extra scenarios, quests, characters and such.  But it is optional either way.

Moreover, many Pokemon require that one either own or have access to several other Pokemon games.  To complete the set, one must have either an extensive network of friends (and much patience) or several versions of the game, either current or previous releases.  To my knowledge there is no (unhacked) Pokemon game that features ALL Pokemon as wild and acquirable using only that game.

I MUST have Cynder!  I favor Hex myself, as well...She's got a great set of powers.  I also like Trigger Happy, he makes me LOL.  And I think Zap is adorable!  I can't wait to get my hands on the Dragon's Peak Adventure set though.  We have all the rest of them, but we haven't run across that one yet.

I do like Whirlwind too...got her for Christmas from my husband.  I think we have 23 figures at the moment.  Going hunting for Cynder this weekend though!

I like playing as Spyro the best but I love Sonic Boom too. I can't wait to get Sunburn, a dragon AND a Phoenix? Pure win.

I must admit that this board is made up of a great group of people! Ponies may have brought everyone together but there are so many other common interests: LPS, Minecraft, and now Skylanders.

I can honestly see Skylanders becoming the next Pokemon... Tv shows, merch, etc. Kids just LOVE the goal of collecting a full set of stuff (something I think we can well understand on a board like this).

If people (especially any UKers) are having a massive trouble finding any figures I can probably find them some from work. They are £7.99 but I do get discount I just can't remember how much at the moment. Pm me.
