i dont know which i would want to make a permanent companion. too many choices. i know for sure i want a whether that is disbudded (for public safety reasons dehorned)

Never heard of a service goat, but that's really neat! Or maybe a mini horse could work for you, if there's flack about the goats. Actually I think more pigs ought to be used as service animals, too. They are very smart and clean! Whatever works to help you with your disability!

Now I'm picturing Iron Will's goat assistants from the FiM cartoon, lol! You'll need to get your goat a blue tie

While I am happy for the OP with this unusual solution to her problem...forgive my ignorance, but...can goats be housetrained? All the goats I ever encountered just pooped where ever they felt like it. But its still a cool idea for a service animal if it works out.

Yes they can. It's just not easy. xD My aunt had a fainting goat(I forget what the breed's called, but they're super small and sooo cute<3), and she kept it indoors aside from the daily letting it into the yard to eat and such. I'm not sure what happened to it, but she doesn't have it anymore.

I raised goats myself up my grandmother's farm. Those little suckers have a LOT of energy when they're young. @_@ Luckily I was young too, so running around with ours wasn't a problem.

Good luck on getting a goat as a service animal - they're definitely very good companions. The goat I mentioned before used to cry excessively every time I had to go do other things - we ended up having to get her a friend so she wouldn't be so lonely.

Ok guys......... Meet my baby in training! he started his training today. ive been bottlefeeding him for weeks because his mother rejected him, so hes the perfect little candidate. my barn owner is allowing me to test train him and if it works out i can keep him

I got him a little harness, collar for nametag and and leash all in color code neon Green. His name is Prince and he is a baby Saanen. he is being dehorned and castrated tomorrow. <3 <3
