Long time no bump, still trying to get him moved out of there but I couldn't really get online for a while. I'm back and back to raising funds!

Hello! May I ask if you still have that Lugia andI Ho-Oh figures? I cant found the price on the doc.

Yes, I do still have them, but there isn't a price listed because I don't really know what to price them at. Feel free to email me and I'm sure we can work something out. :)

Bumping, as I've still no where near enough for a car and I've but 2 weeks left to raise this money. Thank you to everyone who's bought anything so far, I deeply appreciate it!

I'm in desperate need of money so it's time to sell some ponies! The funds will be going towards helping someone dear to me buy a car to move away from a VERY bad family situation, so any help is vastly appreciated. You can see my sales with pictures in my google doc here:

As it would figure, the second I spent all the gems I'd saved up (on Fancy Pants, for the quests) they went and put Rainbow Dash on sale. So now it's right back into the grind. That said, I'll gladly take any and all friends I can get, as using hearts on balloon pop is the most reliable way I've found to get gems. My GL name is Velyaevi, I gift daily. Unless somehow you end up being one of the people that it won't let me gift again for 300 something hours. Is anyone else having this issue?

Packaging. I'm an avid recycler, and it drives me nuts separating out the plastic from the not-even-recyclable cardboard. Sometimes there's a few pieces of cardboard that are recyclable, with the bigger sets and such, but the whole ordeal is so time consuming and it makes me feel wasteful!

It was especially bad like with TRU's recent BOGO when I stocked up on a bunch of Celestia packs (lol customs) and grabbed the talking Cadence for the hay of it. It was about an hour separating out the packaging and it really sucked the joy out of the purchase. I've since learned to put the trash aside and just sit there with the ponies for a while before bothering with it.

I totally agree with hating everything that makes noises while you're in the aisle. I have a couple of pony friends that don't necessarily collect but help and support me, and the Leapfrog things bother all of us. What's worse is there's two of those sorts of things in our Target, and the ponies right between them. So if we pace we set them both off. There's also some Disney princess mirror thing in Walmart that my fiance once set off, and it told him he was a pretty princess. He won't go down that aisle with me anymore, but it was priceless.

Pony Corral / Re: That plastic on G4 pony legs?

Though I'm not exactly sure how it is over at Hasbro (the hair band discoloration issue being an argument against), most toy companies do in fact design the packaging to hold up without damaging the toy. If nothing else I suppose someone could always email them and ask what plastic they use and if that would ever react with the vinyl.

As for the hair ties, I would NOT recommend Sharpies. Sharpies are notorious for bleeding, and some people even use them to dye pony hair. A water-soluble paint would probably be better, so that if it does ever get into the hair you can at least wash it out.

I have noticed that the plastic may scratch up the surface of the vinyl, but most of the time this happens in-factory and there's not much you can do by the time it gets from the store to you.

I would hope they would be smart enough to use a plastic that won't react with the pony, so hopefully the only way it would discolor is over time from exposure to light (the plastic would shield that area, making it a different color from the rest of the faded pony).

The other foreseeable issue would be the glue from the tape if there's any left on that plastic. Certain glues do discolor vinyl, but as long as it's just on the plastic and not touching the pony it should be fine.

What a shame, none of my Walgreens ever have the blind bags. I guess I'll look anyways if I happen to go to one anyways. I'd love more BBs, but limit myself due to wallet drain. :P

Pony Brag Arena / Re: Amazing discount Luna!

Thanks all! :)

I'm seeing her everywhere now, and I'm tempted to test my luck. My niece for one, once pointed out that she liked my old de-tinseled Luna the best so I'd love to get one for her. If my luck held up, maybe pass on the savings to someone in an area that doesn't get them? I guess we'll see once I can get the funds to do it.

Pony Brag Arena / Amazing discount Luna!

For the last month I had been searching for the FS Luna (giant favoritepony, heck yes) that had been randomly distributed with the pink Celestia. Checking every pony-carrying store across pretty much 2 states, I came up with bubkus. The closest I had gotten was a lone Celestia in one of the last Walmarts we had checked.

Then, lo and behold, with naught but $6 left to my name I find her. Pleadsy eyes win over my sister, and she agrees to front me.

It had been so long by now that I had forgotten that it likely wouldn't be in their system and that it wouldn't ring up right. I had heard that usually they'll just guess and throw a price at you, usually around $10. The checkout girl had run us back to the aisle to check, then called over someone else. Eventually the guy indeed guessed at $10 - "But give it to em for $5 for their trouble."

I was more than pleasantly surprised. As my sister begins to pull out her wallet I just smile and tell her, "Nah, I got this."

Introductions / Re: Hello

Thank you all for the warm welcome!

Lurking is more of a habit than an result of fear really, so don't feel too bad about it. I just rarely have much to contribute to a conversation. I'll gladly post when I do, though!

I liked ponies as a kid, but it was mostly my spoiled older sister that had them. Then I got interested (and now addicted) to them again with FiM. I'm already an avid toy collector, so it wasn't much of a stretch. Though a few family members were thrown for a bit of a loop at the sudden amount of pink in my room. I'm interested in some of the older gen stuff too, I just haven't gotten around to getting any of them yet.

I'm currently getting into customizing them, though I'm still on my first since progress is slow for a while. Time has been difficult to come by lately, but hopefully I'll finally get to finish her up soon and get her sent to the person she was meant as a present for. She's secret until they get it though, because I'm paranoid and don't know where all they lurk. I want it to be complete surprise! :)

Diamond Tiara really stands out to me since her eyes are fully outlined. Glad to see more filly merch!

Just wanted to say hi since I'm new here and all. I probably won't post all that often (for now at least) but I wanted to be able to at least lurk properly. :)
