What's the best way to attach feathers to plastic?

Hot glue is the only thing that comes to mind, but I'm not sure even that would work.

I've seen quite a few customs that incorporate feathers, so I'm hoping someone may have some suggestions.

Any ideas are very much appreciated!

Well, I guess it depends a bit on what you want to do. I would imagine hot glue or super glue might work but not hold very well, at least stuff glued with hot glue pops off quite easily. It may also be somewhat messy. If you need to attach them securely, I'd suggest first gluing them on and then adding some clay to keep them in place, but of course it depends on what you're using the feathers for - wings, headdress, tail...

I've used superglue before.  It gums up the bottom feathers, so covering that part up is a good idea.

It's actually for a monster high doll, not a pony. Hehe. The plan is to attach the feathers to the doll's forearms.

I tend to use tacky glue but I'm not sure how that would work on MH. Their plastic is different.
