While I'm not really surprised by the news, I am disappointed by it. My local ToysRUs still has tons of the 1.0 and 2.0 lining the shelves and even the 3.0 seem to be perpetually on sale somewhere. I think the figures are on sale for $8.99 this week at TRU, I had been on the fence about buying myself a copy to play as I loved the Marvel expansion in 2.0 but when I heard the news I went ahead and bought up all of the Marvel ones I wanted during the sale. Make sure to check amazon too there are some nice prices especially on bundles there.

My daughter loved 1.0 and 2.0, I bought 3.0 for Christmas for her but she never really seemed to enjoy that one as much I offered to get her Nick or Judy from Zootopia which she loved and she was like "no thanks mom"  :pout: .

I had been wanting a Smart Doll Mirai since she was announced, I spotted a really fabulous deal on a secondhand girl that was in immaculate condition and mentioned it to my hubby, he said to message the seller and that I could have her for mother's day.

She arrived this past week but I wasn't allowed to open her up until yesterday, I'm absolutely in love.

The one prize shop will produce two gems every like 20 hours or so if three ponies of appropriate level are working there. I woke up to a ton of party debris in my town this morning.

I've seen them at five below too if you have one local, they had half a dozen or so different styles at the one closest to me.

I've noticed that she hadn't really been playing with them as much recently but wasn't expecting this. It probably doesn't help that every time we have gone to the store recently there really hasn't been anything new or interesting MLP so I think it may just be "boring" to her now even though it used to be her favorite thing and what she was always most excited to look for in the store. She still watches the show every single day but it's always the first couple of seasons.

I don't think it's pressure from her friends/school kids as most of them are still very much obsessed with MLP and she still insists on wearing her Twilight Sparkle hoody with wings everywhere and if she was embarrassed by still liking MLP. I don't think she would willingly wear it everywhere even when it's really hot out if she did. Her best friend at school is a boy and he loves MLP.

She just seems to be very much focused on shopkins and chubby puppies/kitties at the moment, I don't really get the appeal of either. I don't want her to regret giving away the MLP especially since some of her's are overseas releases that daddy sent home when he was deployed in the military.

As far as donating goes, periodically her and I go through her room and sort out things that she has outgrown or doesn't play with anymore. It's always her choice, she picks out the toys I put aside the things that I think she might regret later on and anything else in good condition  gets donated (the like three random pieces of a puzzle and that type of stuff I just toss) normally after a week or two of grace period chilling in my car's trunk . The ponies were completely out of the blue she asked me to come in her room and help her sort through them they did take up a huge chunk of real estate in her room so it's possible she just got sick of them being there taking up space if she wasn't playing with them.

I thought about the angle of maybe she knew someone less privileged and wanted to gift the ponies specifically to someone but there really isn't anyone, I even asked and she said no she just wanted other kids to have them. She did sort out a few Applejacks specifically to give to me because she knows she is my favorite and she kept aside a few of the like My Little Pony baby doll type dolls to give to my best friend's daughter (she's a little younger).

I think she was maybe 2 going on 3 when she got her first My Little Pony so I guess she had a good long run at least?

Pony Corral / It's finally happened

My little girl who is seven has decided that she has outgrown her My Little Ponies. She has decided that she only wants to keep her MLP Build-a-Bears and some G3 ponyville figures, she still like the show and loves all of her MLP clothing but she wants to donate all the toys. I went through everything with her yesterday and she sorted out two bins of ponies, I'm going to put them in my storage unit for right now just in case she changes her mind. She had almost all of the G4 toys and I still have stuff stashed away I hadn't even given her yet UGH.

I wish they would have at least finished releasing the mane six as pops, I want an Applejack pop!

I will sign the petition but I know locally they have just been sitting on the shelf unfortunately I don't think we ever got Celestia and Luna in the store (ordered online) but we still have regular and blue flu Discord, the cutie mark crusaders and Maud Pie and Cheese Sandwich just at Hot Topic. I found Octavia both regular and chase versions at Barnes and Nobles on clearance for $4 each this past weekend, I know TRU has had Spitfire and Bonbon sitting for years unsold here.

Maybe they will at least do them as SDCC exclusives? Or maybe try chatting up Amazon as they previously sold some Funko pony exclusives.

I think part of the problem is a lot of people don't seem to be playing right now, as like I went through my friends list and saw one other person with items from this event. I've been frantically working at the event since it started my friend's code is aff51 if anyone wants to add me. Also thanks for posting the code for gems.

I have an amusing factory error though it is related to the Funko Pops, I had ordered the Batman pocket pops set via Amazon I received the correct case but somehow the figures didn't seem quite right

Pony Brag Arena / Hubby found G1s!
« on: March 07, 2016, 01:18:59 PM »
My husband is currently on a business trip that has him staying in the Tacoma Washington area for a few months. On his day off, he has been exploring various comic shops trying to find various Funko Pops which is the obsession du jour. He called me very excited on Sunday, he had found something even more exciting than Pops PONIES!!! At first I assumed he found G4s of maybe G3s but then he said "wow did they really make boys back in G1? I've never even seen them before!" This is the first time either of us have ever found G1s in the wild.

The prices were pretty reasonable, the only one that was a bit on the pricey side was Applejack who was $20. Applejack was my favorite pony as a kid and still is today though and especially with her being so very minty she couldn't by left behind  :lookround: .

Barnacle! I love pirates and have always wanted him but could not justify the price.

Steamer who was like the one boy pony I had in my childhood collection.

This is everything he bought. I wasn't positive until this morning when I confirmed with him that the baby pony is indeed the UK exclusive pony Schoolbag, she's not super rare/pricey but still a really awesome find! So we got Barnacle, Applejack, Baby Schoolbag, Princess Primrose, Hula Hula and Steamer plus the Funko vinyl Celestia and Luna. Also a couple of Funko Pops, a random Loki toy, a Bubbles Powerpuff Girls snowglobe and a couple of books :sweatdrop: . We may not be keeping the Funko vinyl Celestia and Luna (her tail popped off) he had picked them up for our daughter and when we told her she was like "but those are boring I can't brush their hair"  >_< .

Hubby is supposed to send me better pictures of the ponies tonight! He also said he is going to go back next weekend as they had a lot of awesome different things he wanted to take a look at.

Fabricfriendsanddolls offers layaway for Luts as well as several other companies and the owner is a perfectly lovely person who is willing to work with you on layaways etc. I was hesitant about Luts at first as I was a diehard Fairyland fanatic for so long but since I got my first Luts doll I've bought six more from them and not a single one from Fairyland. Price is more wallet friendly and their tiny centaurs are super adorable and built amazingly well.

If you want to avoid recasts and you see that is a site in question look to see if they have a selection of Iplehouse dolls as that brand does not have any official dealers so if you see a store selling several of their dolls for rock bottom prices it's a recast shop. They also tend to keyword spam the titles so like a doll will be listed as "Volks Fairyland Luts Minifee MSD". Minifees should sell for around $400 or so if you see someone selling for $150 or so it's a recast.

Stopped at Target yesterday and decided to check the Tsum Tsums as an afterthought, they actually had some Inside Out and Frozen Tsum Tsums. Hubby had already picked up the Frozen Tsums I wanted last week so I got Disgust for myself and Sadness/Joy for my daughter. Hubby went back for Anger for himself  I took a picture before they got distributed.

Hmmm it's kind of a down market at the moment I'd say somewhere between $120-$145 depending on who's buying/selling. If you are looking to buy I'd keep an eye on the sample sale as you never know who might pop up as I seem to recall her showing up during the last sample sale.
