UK PONYCON 2014
LOCATION AND DATES CONFIRMED!!

This is it folks, the big announcement you have all been waiting for! *Drum rolls*

The UK Ponycon 2014 Committee is pleased and extremely excited to announce that the 11th UK Ponycon, on the theme of UK PONYCON ROCKS! will be held:

Saturday-Sunday
11-12th October 2014

at
the Mercure 'The Grand' Hotel, Leicester
Leicester, UK

visitors can't see pics , please register or login

Stay tuned for lots more information coming over the next few days concerning the location, and special room rates for the hotel. Our website will be updated with all the info and useful links to help you plan the weekend!

We will post another announcement to confirm when tickets will go on sale, so stay tuned to our website, forums, twitter and facebook so you don't miss a thing!!

We are so excited about this year's UK Ponycon, and we hope you are too! Now the real planing and preparation starts!

I went to uni in Leicester but I haven't been back for a few years, hopefully I'll remember my way around!

I only went last year as moral support for my other half - enjoyed it SO much it got me into the whole MLP world. :biggrin:

baby_yoyo - we are currently working on our ticket shop to get the tickets available as soon as possible. I'll make a seperate announcement as soon as the ticket shop opens.

I don't have a huge amount of say in whether I work or not but at the same time it's hard to justify spending a week's salary in a weekend when I could earn a week's salary in a weekend instead!

Hopefully I'll make next year though. Looking forward to all the info better get my butt on the ponycon sight to see what i've missed. been ill a lot lately.

You can find a lot of pictures from the past conventions on our webpage http://www.ukponycon.co.uk/

A lot of people dress up - but not everyone does. A lot of pony people just put a pony t-shirt on for the day.

As we are currently working on a programme I cant really give you an answer to if both days are the same or different - this is still to come. It is definetly worth staying both days if you ask me.

I know a lot of people stay for the weekend and make a little bit of a holiday out of it - but for those who can only make it one day, because of work/transport/family they will only attend one day - and for those who live close by and only want to have a look. Most of us hard core pony fans try and attend both days ;-) It is great to mix and mingle, buy stuff and take part in games and activities all about pony!

If you have any more questions, feel free to ask (I'll try my best and answer them sooner this time)

We are also hoping to have some hotel deals up very soon!

I have had a look on the UK PonyCon, it does look awesome. To physically see all those ponies in one place! Amazing!!

I'm really hoping to come but the logistics are a headache. I live in Cornwall so it's a trek to get anywhere! I also have a 2 year old so if I come do I bring him? Thinking on it for now!

and as mentioned above - try those hotels. Some of them definetly are cheaper than the con hotel.
