I'm gonna have to throw in the towel. My game crashed during one of the rare times I was able to make it back to Ponyville, and it refuses to load any more. If they update it I'll try again, but it's been more than three weeks since I've been able to play. Oh well.

So I finally got my Luna (which I DreamWalk'ed first, so there's one in my inventory as well... oops?), and now I can't visit my Ponyville. Reading through the ratings in the App store, this seems to be a common problem. I haven't been able to access my friends list in a couple of months, and that hasn't gone away either. I guess I'll just work on the new content for now.

It looks like I was mistaken. The parasprites coming back probably wasn't from trying Airplane Mode, because I've had a few more clusters since. Fortunately, I'm all out Magic shards, so other than the one cluster of Magic parasprites it generated the first it happened, I haven't had any since. Instead most of the ones I'm getting are giving me gems, which is good, because I'm stuck on two quests that need at least 80 gems each. Now that my hubby's gone on a business trip, I'm going to monopolize both the iPad and laptop and try out Luna's Dreamwalk. I've done about as much as this game honestly as I could, but now I'm at a point where it'll take me at least a month to progress any further... and I just don't have that kind of time. At least I'm able to play the game without it crashing every five minutes, though.

Wish they'd fix the problems with Social. *Still* can't get any of my 500+ friends to show up on my list.

Are they latex-free by any chance? My son would *love* them, but we just learned (from some Cars bandaids) that he has a latex allergy. Fortunately we found Angry Birds bandaids that are latex-free, but he'd like pony bandaids even more. (He picks Pinkie Pie toothpaste every night over Thomas the Tank Engine!)

Hmm, this sounds just like the G2 translucent Hip Holly problems. She did not have glitter but she inevitably would end up sticky or tacky over time as the plasticizer broke down. The only other translucent G2 that comes to mind immediately is Queen Sunsparkle, but I've never heard specifically of any problems with her. (She's glitter-filled like the G3s.) Can any G2 collectors weigh in?

I would love to get one of those no-glitter translucent G3s in my collection. Of course, I haven't checked upstairs on my special pony shelf to see if I already have one. They're the only G3s on the shelf because they're my favorite G3s. Sad, but inevitable, I guess.

Where do you find the watch-ads-for-gems button? I'm on an iPad 1, so I guess it's possible they won't let me do it. At this point I'm level 60 and trying to get gems and Twilight's shards - I have two more heart ponies, and the rest cost me gems.

I haven't seen anyone mention this but I bought Soarin for bits when I put my game in Airplane Mode at one point. I don't know if it was a coincidence in timing or it's a benefit to Airplane Mode. How has everyone else gotten him? There's at least one or two other items I've gotten in Airplane Mode that I'm pretty sure cost gems in regular mode. I think the Celestia statue is one of them; I bought one today since I'm just collecting money at this point.

I didn't see Drama Pony for at least three days running, and then saw her twice within a minute this afternoon. Go figure.

So having played for a few days, I have a couple of observations to share from my experience:

1. After sending friend requests and having something like 40 friends on Gameloft, I had only one pony friend available. On the advice of people on this thread, I downloaded the Gameloft app and created a character on there. On a whim I decided to try visiting the hub on one of my friends, to see what happened. Nothing exciting happened on the Gameloft app, but when I started FiM back up, that person was now on my friendlist. So I subsequently went back to the Gameloft app and attempted to visit the hub of every one of my friends. I've gone from 1 friend to 10 in just over a day's time, though my Gameloft friend count is around 70. It's possible it's a coincidence and they're slowly rolling out friends to me as their servers catch up, but so far they're all friends whose hubs I visited on the Gameloft app. If you want to try it to see if it helps populate your pony friend list, it's worth a shot. I've been sending gifts and chests as often as possible to everyone that's showing up; still need 2 chests and 2 hearts to get past the dreaded social goal I'm stuck on. 2. I've found that the longer it takes to make something, the more likely it will give you a rare magic shard at the end. The hat store has given me most of my lightning, magic, and butterfly shards, and the spa usually gives me Rarity's shards. I've also found that I'm more likely to get balloon shards where Pinkie Pie is working, and apple shards where any of the apple family is working. This could be coincidence, but it seems to be working well for me.

I just got my second UK variant princess in the mail today (thank you Applejackgirl!) and I'm a bit puzzled by her hat. It's a standard yellow damsel hat with silver moons and stars, but rather than a pink ribbon with gold trim, it has a pale blue ribbon with silver trim. I seem to recall a discussion about silver-trimmed ribbons (in damsel hats specifically) some years ago, but Google isn't helping me out here. Any ideas? I'm positive it's silver and not faded. It's tied in there with the same knot my regular Princess Starburst hat has as well.

(If anyone's curious, it's the Princess Starburst variant with Princess Sunbeam's symbol, pinkish coral hair with blue tinsel but no tail. She's gorgeous!)
