my Shining Armor is BALDING (edit, i ended up rerooting him PICS!!)

Inspired by this thread I took a rehairing needle to my own SA!
He looks fabulous now!
I used Bobby Blue and Atomic Turquoise.

Maybe Hasbro was trying to do the authentic fantasy look. Ie, hair flowing in the wind Yeah, the troll hair is weird. When I got mine about a month ago and removed him from the box to have a look, his hair kinda fell out, just a little. It is not noticeable though. But the base of the troll hair has a thick spot, it's the binding fabric and its not pretty. Who knows, maybe they'll decide not to do troll hair anymore and this guy will be a sought after collectable in the years to come. Btw, that is an awesome rehair. He looks lovely! Great job!

I decided to leave his forelock quite long because I think it looks better.
I painted his hooves too, WHY NOT :p

Did you have a hard time getting his tail out btw?

yes and no,
i ended up  having to sodomize him with  screw driver to get the darn thing out.  it poped out cleanly tho so  ehh its a win

there was quite a large glob of glue there,
also whats the point of that  draw string thing that gose form the tail to the neck plug.

was your tail esay to remove or did you have to force it?

I had to cut the entire thing out with my x-acto knife.
I tried pushing it through with my haemostats and tugging on that stupid string but it didnt work.

As a result my SA has a thicker tail to compensate the larger hole.
It took me a good 20 or so minutes to actually cut it out enough so I could thread a new tail through.
WHY HASBRO?

Their obsession with copious amounts of glue is beginning to irk me.

I'm still not sure about Shining Armor, but if they start putting out other male G4's with "troll hair," now I know I will just buy the ones I like and rehair them

Your re-root looks awesome!  I do like him better with normal pony hair.
