heya ponypeeps :-)
I remember there was not too long ago - maybe six months or so - an ebay sale of what seemed to be lighter all yellow so yellow body and yellow hair mexican applejack.
Sadly I forgot to capture pictures for reference. I am looking for one of these lighter all yellow mexican applejacks. I would imagine she's a flat foot so I think that is auriken
Does anyone here know if that lighter yellow color is considered a true variant? Does anyone here by any miracle have both orange and yellow AJs and could share pictures? Is the majority opinion that this yellow coloring is just a fade to over time or maybe it's a batch issue where some AJ's just weren't dyed the standard orange?
To me, the yellow was noticeable in that the body matched the hair and made the apples stand out.
thanks in advance for any assist in showing off applejack variants :-)

I think only the CP ponies have Lily Ledy versions as the factory burnt down, so they would be Auriken :bigups:
I have a Mexican Applejack, but she is orange :)

yep that's the traditional coloring. I saw one once that had a light head and dark body that got me wondering if this coloring was like the bluebelles that didn't hold the blue dye and so the lighter color is because of a dye bleed
I'll keep looking see if I can find some pictures
it'll be easier to see in a comparison of light vs dark (yellow vs orange)

so I found these two... they are close but a little more gold that the mexican I remember seeing off of ebay (believe me yes I regret not pulling the pics and saving for future reference so lesson learned!)

at first I honestly thought it might have been venezuelan but those mexican eyes are distinctive and not like venne eyes at all but it was really striking like this AJ was a "golden delicious" cousin of the real Applejack
anyhow it might just be a cool sun discoloration ... dunno

so huge help from mexicanmlp from over at the TP who has a couple of these oddball yellow AJs
sent a picture to show the difference and also says the plastic is different so maybe this was a whole separate run of AJs who know...

I have one of the "pale" Mexican Applejacks. I thought at first she was Venezuelan, but she is a Mexican Applejack. I don't know how rare, or not, she is though. I like her, she's pretty! Sorry I don't know how to add a pic.

oh coolio farfallinaki !! yes that's definitely the way I remember = all yellow (body/hair) and lovely red apples
I can see why she might be mistaken for a venne with the ones we have now found are also yellow
yay :-) so glad for more pics = huge thank you-s guys
Seems for me this version is rare I only saw one for the first time in a decade last year
someday I'll find one hopefully

Goodness she is really pretty in that "golden delicious" colour, perhaps nicer than regular Applejack :wow:
Gorgeous pictures everyone :bigups:

yep I totally agree I love this variant and think she's more "apple-y" colors as a golden delicious AJ :-)
