Baby Shady's New Look

I acquired a Baby Shady recently who had a bad case of rusty eyes. I tried to salvage them to no avail. So, I decided to give her a new look.

Now she just needs some help with her tail. I got rid of the rust, but nothing is helping the frizz. At least it's soft. I've used my pony-only wire cat brush, boiled, conditioned and ironed. Still poofy. So, if anybody can suggest anything else, I'd live to hear it.

Try fabric softener. I tried it on the Tux n Tails I had and it seemed to help. Make sure it's liquid softener that's colorless or white just to be sure there's no color absorption.
I shampooed, conditioned, ironed and used the fabric softener on him and pony bride and they turned out tons better. (Sorry no pics)
I just let the hair soak in a cup of it for a bit.

that's weird i was just thinking only a couple of days ago about TE'ing BBE baby's. that is awesome to see.

I agree with the idea of either a conditioner soak - lather hair and wrap it in saran wrap and then rinse out over 24 hours or so [maybe repeat] is a good first step for her tail. If that doesnt work you may have to resort to a flat iron.
