Pony Corral / I Just Published an Article About Pony Collecting! With Professional Pictures!

I even mention the arena in the piece!

I just published a personal essay on Narratively, one of my dream publications that I've been trying to publish with forever! The editor loved my pitch about My Little Pony and the essay went live today!

Could you pony peeps give it a read and show it some love by sharing on Facebook/other places? My favorite thing about it is that they sent a professional photographer to take pics of me and my collection. I've been writing a long time, but have never had my photo taken for an article before! How cool is that?? :D

Pony Brag Arena / My Piggy Collection (Ten Piggies, Hooray!) Plus Piggy Ponywear!

So I finally have TEN piggies! Two are MOC, and all are in really lovely condition (I'm pretty piggy-picky! ;) ) 

Yesterday I finally got some PIGGY PONYWEAR plus a lovely piggy Lemondrop! :D  My very favorite thing about piggy ponywear is the TEENSY LITTLE PIGGY SHOES which only fit piggy feet! :D  The only piggy ponywear outfit I don't have is one that comes without shoes, so I don't care for it so much  :lol:

Thanks to the fabulous Shira for selling me almost all my piggies and the ponywear too! Lemondrop is so happy in her new home! Just LOOK AT HER LIL SKATES YOU GUYS! She actually ROLLS AROUND. I can ROLL HER ACROSS THE TABLE. I'M FREAKING OUT.

SALE ENDS TODAY! I've decided to end this sale since there hasn't been any interest. If you'd like her, please PM me by the end of the day. 

This is a very rare Sweet Scoops charm that I bought last year, at the pony fair. I'm asking what I paid for it, $400.

BUT I am open to reasonable offers!

As you can see, her symbol has a bit of fading, which unfortunately is common with this charm. But it is still clearly visible!

Her eyes are lovely. Body has a little bid of surface grime, but I'm confidant that it could be washed off. I've just never bothered.

She also still has her hard-to-find purple plastic loop, which goes through the molded pink loop on her body.

MLP Nirvana / I just got a super rare Takara Playset!!! Does anyone speak Japanese??

Hey all!

So I just got a SUPER rare Japanese, Takara playset. It is covered in Japanese writing. I have three separate questions.

First: Does anyone here speak Japanese?? Your help in translating would be SO appreciated and would lead to great advances in pony science!

Second: Does anyone here know how I can get in touch with the person in charge of mylittlewiki? I have tried to email her with no success. I love mylittlewiki and I want to make sure that this playset gets added to the wiki, as well as my other Takara girl, who isn't on there yet either.

Third: This is a long shot, but does anyone know of anyone who might some takara clothing to sell? I will soon have three Takaras but only two will have decent outfits! I have already spoken with shelvesofwhimsy and Spikethedragon, but they don't have anything else for sale at the moment.

Pony Brag Arena / ULTIMATE GRAIL! Takara Pony Playset with Adult Takara *EDIT*Bridal Fashion Show!

Ohmigosh ohmigosh ohmigosh you guys!!!!

So a while ago, I made a wonderful pony friend here on the arena--Ember1. She is the sweetest person, and she agreed to sell me something that up until now, pony collectors online have only seen glimpses of (from old yahoo auction thumbnails). It's an actual, Japanese, TAKARA PONY PLAYSET! And it comes with Milky, an adult Takara Pony! It finally arrived today. Ember1, I can't thank you enough! You are a wonderful person and fantastic pony friend! Hugs forever! <3 <3 <3

By the way, this is an official call for help to ANYONE who can read Japanese--Please oh please won't you translate all this writing for me? It will surely lead to great advances in pony science!

Sigs & Site Support / How do I make the photo in my signature a hyperlink?

I tried putting the url or my image in the middle of the [url/] tags using the "insert hyperlink" button, but that didn't work. I don't want people to have to click on the little url for my etsy shop situated above the big image, like they do now. I want the image to link directly to my etsy shop.

If a mod wants to take over and do it for me, that would be totally cool with me. Then I could just look at the code and know how to do it myself in the future. Or you could explain it to me...either way!  ^.^

Off Topic / My First Non-Pony Brag...Japanese Spoon Pets!

Okay. So. I'm obsessed with these adorable little toys from Japan called Spoon Pets! They are tiny animals that move around on flat surfaces by vibrating (sort of like Nano Bugs in the U.S.) each one comes with a little plastic teacup and spoon, so you can scoop them up! There are also playsets, like a race track and a house! If you can't picture it, here is a Japanese commercial for them:

Anyhow, I got so obsessed so fast that I've already collected 22 (out of about 33 total) and more are on the way!

Recently I bought an entire wave at once (spoon pets are released in waves of 6) called the "storybook" wave. Each spoon pet is based on a different Fairy Tale, and their boxes are specially made to look like books! Aren't they beautiful?? From left to right, they are associated with the following fairy tales: Red Riding Hood, Peach Boy (Japanese story), Cinderella, Little Mermaid, Snow White, and Alice in Wonderland!

This one is my favorite of the storybook wave. Her name on the package is "Sakayuki" but she is based on Snow White. See the Apple on her side?

And here they all are in their teacups, along with what appears to be the rarest wave so far...the Sanrio wave! It features awesome characters like Hello Kitty and Pom Pom Purin! For some reason, I can't find any mention of the Sanrio wave except in the ebay shop where I bought them. And there only five in this wave so far...not six. Strange!

Hello everyone! I hope this belongs in "off topic." I was going to put it in "For Sale" but what I'm searching for is not pony related, so I stuck it here instead. Admins, feel free to move elsewhere if it doesn't belong  :blush:

I am OBSESSED with Japanese toys called "Spoon Pets." Some of them can be found on ebay, amazon, etc. But not the set that I am currently looking for. They are released in waves of 6, and this is the "storybook" wave, where the animals are (loosely) based on storybook characters, like Cinderella and Snow White.

The only place that currently sells them online seems sketchy to me, and they are out of the white bunny, which is the one I want the most. Soooo....

If you live in Japan, or somewhere else where these are on shelves, purchase the set for me and you shall be rewarded! I will pay you $40 IN ADDITION to the cost of the pets and shipping to get them to the U.S.!

MLP Nirvana / WHO is Piggy Perla? I keep seeing different piggies called by this name!

I'm a piggy enthusiast, and I own six myself. I've heard that Perla (whose other name is supposedly Bubbles) is the rarest piggy of all. But I keep seeing different piggies being referred to as Perla, and it's driving me nuts!

The first piggy I keep seeing listed as "Perla" is a bright pink piggy with pink cutie marks and blue hair. But I've also seen her referred to as a Blossom variant.

The second piggy I've seen listed as "Perla" looks like a Cotton Candy variant, almost. She is pink with white hair and pink circle cutie marks (the circles are "hollow" rings, not solid spots).

The third piggy I've seen listed as "Perla" also looks a bit like cotton candy. She is pink, with solid bright pink spots and white hair.

For the love all that is holy, WHICH PONY IS SHE?? :what:

I've had these girls for a while now, but I just had take some pics! Argie Buttons was the only Argie I ever wanted. Piggy Snuzzle was a huge want for me (I needed her to add to my growing piggy herd)...but I could never find her in good condition. And Peruvian Applejack was a pony I'd never considered until I saw those GORGEOUS curls and couldn't resist!

Somehow, I managed to find all of these beauties MOC...and they are the very first MOC ponies in my entire collection (though I do have some MIB ponies from G2.)

I want to point out that piggy Snuzzle's packaging is a bit strange. On the front, all the ponies frolicking in the field have the same cutie mark (just a bunch of circles). I think a certain illustrator was working late on a friday.

Also check out the ponies poking their faces out of the weird little house/school/stable building. They seem vaguely disturbed by all the circle ponies stomping on their lawn LOL.

Also on the back, you can see that Minty looks a bit...odd.
