What kind of paint to use for customs?

So I'm a newbie to this customs thing.  I'm not customizing a pony, but my mom wants to paint the bottom of some plastic doll shoes (Baby face doll shoes to be exact).  What kind of paint would be okay to use and where would I buy it at?

I use acrylic paint from the brand Apple Barrel.  You can find it near the wood sections of AC Moore and JoAnn Fabrics.

acrylics are the best type of paint to use with ponies

there are many brands...the easiest (and cheapest) are generally Apple Barrel, Ceramcote and various others.

There are various brands of acrylic paints, depending on your price range. I usually just choose from whatever's available in the nearest Michael's or local art store. Mostly I end up using FolkArt brand paint.
