Kazzy, what are breakfast cookies?
Cookies made with peanut butter, bananas, honey, vanilla, salt, cinnamon, raisins, quick oats, and chopped walnuts. Or i can take out the cinnamon and raisins and put in mini chocolate chips, instead. 😁

Both! Do both! One for breakfast, one for a snack after we're all tired!

 We'll see!

It’s that time of year again! :D

It’s time for the MN MLP Jubilee! :cheer:

Where: New Richland, MN: City hall!
When: Saturday, September 3, 7am to 9pm!
Cost: $5 per person
Host Pony: So Soft Ribbon!

Events planned thus far:
Pony selling and trading
Coloring contest
Customs contest
Dice game
Bean bag toss
Raffle ($1 per ticket)
Food (potluck style!)

Please comment below if you plan to attend! There are 25 banquet-style tables on site for those who want to sell, or to scow off their collections; selling is not required.

What’s also not required is being in costumes, but that’s not stopping us at all, right?? If enough people come in costume, we might hold an impromptu vote for the best one!

If you would like to participate in the dice game, please bring 2-3 wrapped items, ideally in the $5-10 range (note that you can go over this price range if you want; hasn’t stopped anyone before! :silly: ). Items do not need to be pony related. 😃

Participation in the potluck is not required to have food, but the more options, the merrier, right? 😃 Please list the food item you plan to bring with your intention to attend—we’ll add it to the list for who’s coming, so we have a quick reference for who’s bringing what! :pizza:

Also, you don’t need to be from MN to attend—IA, WI, and the Dakotas are welcome too! Hay, if you want to fly in from California, we’ll let you!

Please watch this space for updates!

Coming:
Aurora +1/ 1 table / "Pot o' meat"
Wizzer218 +1 / 2 tables /
Marla +1/ 1 table /
Kazzellin / 2 tables / Breakfast cookies, Tortellini salad, cake/cupcakes (haven't chosen a flavor yet; might become sugar cookies instead )

I recently learned there are smaller, portable air brushes available on the market these days. Wondering if anyone has one and any thoughts on them. I'm mainly doing brush-on paints at the moment, so this would be a completely new thing for me. :awake:

Thank you in advance! :D

My main focus though is going to be needle felting for a while. And getting back into making miniatures. I want to open an Etsy shop before my birthday in October. So I need things to list :P
Ohh! Needle felting! :D That always looks fun, but I've enough hobbies so I shouldn't add to them. ^^; You sure you want to do Etsy, though? With the new rules and fees they've added, a lot of people with tangible good to ship out are looking into their own websites or other options. The CEO has been quoted as stating that Etsy is supposed to be a direct competitor of Amazon ( :what: ), so a lot of what's being sold isn't necessarily hand-made items anymore, but items bought via AE and Wish and resold, just like on Amazon.

That's odd; they had a few completely blank ponies with them at the fair. Now I wish I'd bought them, but I decided to pass. ^^; Ah, well.

RedLynx, good to see you! I've only been back for a few months, at this point. Have yet to even look over my custom supplies, so I'm hoping my paints haven't dried up. :(

Pony Fairs! / Re: Pony Fari west - Can you pick up my pony for me?
« on: July 05, 2022, 08:43:05 PM »
Point of clarification--are you referring to buying a ticket and having someone else pick up your bag (and therefore your pony) for you? Because if that's the case, I don't think that will be possible, without con staff permission. Normally someone picking up a loot bag has to have ID to prove they're the person who's bag they're picking up. It's to keep someone from stealing someone else's badge/bag; I'm sure you can guess why that became SOP at conventions (the few always ruin things for everyone else *sigh*).

I would contact fair staff and see what can be done, before you buy a ticket. I know they allowed some people to buy the llama pony at the main fair, but they didn't have many extra to sell, so they did a kind of raffle-type drawing to select the people who could buy one. They may have more after PFW--pretty sure they were being careful to make sure they had enough for the upcoming convention.

I hope you're able to work something out. Good luck! :awake:

Does anyone have a source for carousel horse poles? I had one, years ago, for a carousel swap I participated in, but that was two computers ago, so I no longer have the bookmark. I managed to find ONE seller on ebay (who only had two available), and bought one there, but I was hoping to make a few for the Fair. I might have to make a mold of the pole I bought, and cast the visible pieces in resin. :awake: Thoughts?
