Pony Corral / Re: How to clean Sweet Talkin‘ Ponies
« Last post by Shaiyeh on Today at 09:29:53 AM »
I have owned & cleaned one. I would clean with soap and water and a toothbrush, but without submerging. Maybe do take out the batteries, yes. (I don't think I did, at least I can't recall doing so... but she also didn't work)
honestly, I never dunk my ponies, I'm anxious about trapping water inside. (but then again, I also don't pop the head off unless it has signs that it's needed.) I just give them a good wash under running water, trying to avoid the mane & tail holes. I also hold the pony so the hair hangs straight out from them when I wash the hair. ^^'

Toys:

1. a mix between flutters, sweetheart sisters, the feathered hooves of the boys, with the identifiable G1/G3 style head sculpt for the "main toyline"
2. bring back the petites; expand this line, because the small sized pony figures allows for elaborate playset buildings that are still afforable and storable due to size
3. DIY pony building: blank ponies to design and decorate, with removable hair plugs and tails

Media:

1. A mix between G1 RaMC, Winx, W.I.T.C.H., Harry Potter, Chevaliers du zodiaque
2. A total ban on "teaparty gone wrong because a cupcake went missing" storylines

Pony Corral / How to clean Sweet Talkin‘ Ponies
« Last post by BabyTaffeta on Today at 07:01:20 AM »
Hello everybody

has anyone ever cleaned up a Sweet Talkin‘ Pony with a bath? Normally I give my ponies a bubble bath for their Spa but I have no idea if that is okay with a Talkin Pony? I mean I sure would take out the battery first  and let it dry completely before putting it in back again.
Has anyone ever tried this?
Thank you so much :)

Pony Corral / Re: Did G5 flop?

So i think g5 is a flop,i talk yesterday to hasbro germany and they tell me the  only pony Set that will be out in germany this year is the Set with the dragon and sunny starscout and in most stores ponys are sell for a very cheap price.

It is very sad that hasbro is not Strong enough to keep the ponys what they where in the past.

Remarklable, isn't it. It used to be one of their flagship brands, even outsold Barbie for a while in the 80s, and now it's on par with McDonald's toys.

These are not all that different from the Hasbro ones, but for some reason these are more appealing. I think it's the subtle difference in proportions? Wider hooves, shorter bodies?

Customs / Re: New Resources?
« Last post by Shaiyeh on Today at 01:31:33 AM »
Good idea BC!

For YouTube:
I think a lot of the popular custom pony videos on youtube are from the g4 era of customizers using nail polish for their FBRs, and even if the finished results look real nice, I would be hesitant to linking tutorials etc that uses that medium.
but we have RetroGeek Crafts doing restoration work (alt rehairs sometimes) and some customs - I haven't looked though, but with the restoration work in mind, I doubt they use nail polish.
I do have a craft channel, and have been thinking about dedicating some videos to Pony at some point. I haven't yet though. If you want, when and if I have a playlist for that, I can link it :)

Toy Box & Games Cupboard / Re: We need to talk about the Struts Runway Magic

Definitely in the minority here, but as a child (and even as a adult) I think they're precious! They're so over-the-top and unapologetically girly. I've never seen them for sale, however, in person or online. Did they ever reach shelves?

It's 13 minutes past midnight, and someone has their kids running up and down the street laughing and yelling as though it's 4 in the afternoon.

It's AFTER MIDNIGHT people.
