Poor Things 9/10★
I watched it in theater over the weekend. It was beautifully shot (I enjoy artsy films). One point deduction for the amount of lewd scenes.

I don't often come on here as I'm the world's worst rater. I'm easy to please so if I hate something, everybody will lol!!!
But occasionally I get something which is very don't judge by the cover.
Case yesterday: Mamma Mia.
My thoughts on hearing about it: it's following Abba or something.
My thoughts after actually seeing it: that's quite clever actually!!!
What I mean is they picked a great story with plenty of fun, & had two rules: 1/ only songs by Abba, & 2/ they must fit the moments as well as they can. Example: friends comfort each other to Chiquitita, a woman bemoans her debt problems to Money, Money, Money, men recall the fun of their youth to Our Last Summer, etc...
My rating: 8/10. Cheesy, but in a good way.
My Mascots (so far): Twisty Tail, G2 Trixiebelle, Starcatcher, Twilight Sparkle. All variants & pictures of these are appreciated. Piccies courtesy of Griffin, Blumiere, Littlebabyribbon, & Starscout

Oh, I loved Mamma Mia! Me and mom and sister watched it around christmas when it had just been released on DVD and we had so much fun watching and singing along so I am very fond of it :). The second one was not so good.

The Boys in the Boat - Been waiting for this one for a good while now, one of my favourite theatre actors is in it (had fun trying to spot him, not sure I succeeded ^^; well he was in there somewhere, haha) and the trailer looked intriguing, so I decided to give it a go. It was really good!!! SO exciting too. It's about these college students in the 30s that join a boat team and compete to go to the Olympics and such. (Bad description, sorry ^^;) I was on the edge of my seat for all the race scenes!! It was REALLY gripping.

My one complaint is that I thought it ended a bit too abruptly, and some parts near the climax were a bit confusing/should've been explained a bit better (not sure how to explain it without spoiling anything - but basically it felt like we needed a bit of dialogue to bridge the two scenes together better, or even another scene). I guess they didn't want to beat us over the head with what was going on or resort to cliche dialogue etc? But it was a bit TOO subtle IMO.

But yeah aside from those small nitpicks, I loved it!! Definitely one I'd see again.

Ad Astra - 6/10 Man with daddy issues in space. I'll admit my focus wasn't 100% as I was Diamond Painting at the same time but I did go back and rewatched some scenes I felt I needed to see. I liked the music.

Lift 6/10★
I like a heist movie. It was fine, but nothing to write home about. Not as funny as I’d hoped considering Kevin Hart had a main role.

Snömannen (the snowman) 7/10 This is one of my go to crime movies. I remember watching it during the day at the cinema and being intrigued but thinking there is a lot of stuff missing so I went from the theatre to the bookstore and bought the book to get more insight.

The movies i watched this past week.

Pirates of the Caribbean 1 and 3-I always enjoy these films, and these are the best 2 in the franchise. They're pure adventure that sparks the imagination. Who doesn't love fictional pirates? 8/10

Peter Pan-Its still magical and fun, Hook,Smee and the crocodile still make me laugh. 6.5/10

Mortal Kombat Legends: Cage Match-Hahaha it was a lot of fun! A leetle lighter on the gore then other MK films, but its Johnny in all his egotistically goofy glory. Well animated. Definitely reccomended.  7/10

Don't Worry Darling - 10/10

Man, I love Florence Pugh, though I don't know how to say her last name :P She's in Midsommer too. She takes on some really emotionally demanding roles. This movie was a trip. It kept me guessing.

Resident Evil, welcome to raccoon city. 7/10 I loved this one; stupid oneliners, dark, weird camera angles, not understanding anything unless you have insight in the games to get the underlying unsaid things.. and zombies!
