Show and Glow ponies= Mop and Glow ponies

Cool Breeze= Palm (and was Tootie Tails' daughter)

Because we forgot the proper names.

Mop and Glow? *imagines them as janitor ponies*

My husband calls Princess Sparkle "Professor Bling Bling." I'm not sure where he got that, but... it kind of stuck. XD

*snerk* Professor Bling Bling! XD

When I was a kid I thought Salty's name was dumb and I called him Tugboat, only to have someone on the arena tell me his European name is Tug.

My childhood Sweet Pop was called Popsicle, my new one has the same nickname.

My aunty bought me a Blushie at the swapmeet and at the time I didn't know who she was, my daughter suggested I call her Bouquet and when I found out her real name...she stayed Bouquet.

Hula Hula's name doesn't fit her symbol,so I named her Kalea which is a Hawaiian name that means bright.

Dazzleglow is Dazz.

I keep forgetting Firewater's name is switched, plus it flows off the tongue easier then Waterfire.

I would so call Sweet Pop "Popsicle" if I had her as part of my childhood herd!

As a child I used a lot of shorts. I couldn't spell Masquerade, so she became Masky. Baby Sister Sweet Celebrations became Cele (Selly), Vanilla Treat became Nilly, and so on. Dancing Butterflies was Dabu too. And Cherries Jubilee, CJ. Braided Beauty, Braids. You get the picture.

But my Dad renamed Cherry Treats "Stink Bomb" the moment I opened her package. So I guess that's the only really striking one. I generally use the proper names, but often short versions....

I missed this before, but that's really cute.

In the UK, she's "Sail Away", which matches the symbol. Pina Colada is Hula Hula (my sister called her's Huli as a kid xD) because she has swaying palm trees that 'hula' dance as her symbol.

I forgot too, that my sister and I both had Baby Tic Tac Toe, so we made them twins called Ticci and TicTac. Yep, one was a mint candy...;)

i'm loving all these nicknames!

As far as I know, my ponies never had names. We just played with them as is, and can only assume we gave them different names each time we played with them to act out whatever "skit" we had come up with. I think I would probably have just called my baby ember "purple baby" or something
