I found the MLP and Snowbabies figures today

I've never had any interest in snowbabies and didn't know any with ponies existed until this thread. I want them! So precious.

Ooohhhh! Well, those are very cute ornaments! But way out of my price range. And kinda weird to pair up little kids with MLP's, but I really like that they picked G1 characters!

I still want these, with just the pony. I think I could use steam/heat or chemicals to remove the baby.

LOL I just recently heard about these this morning and never knew they existed. I agree with this idea, though. I'd want just the pony and somehow get rid of that creepy baby!

I had never heard of snowbabies, either! I just had to Google as well. Those are just creepy if you ask me. O.o

I feel like these things may be priced so that they are still profitable 50% off (since they are Christmas themed and Christmas sales are the norm right?)

I might be more tempted if they were less expensive- I love the pony sculptures...

If anyone has success removing the snowbaby from any of these, let me know!  If they go on sale I'll be very tempted to buy one--if I can get rid of the baby.

Heh, I suppose you could just break it off, since these are ceramic. I don't think that would look so great, though...

I shared the Department 56 link with my mom- hoping she'll get the set for me this year. It's the only thing I've asked for and I can't justify spending $140 for them at the moment. If not, oh well. They sure are adorable. I'd love for Hasbro to continue licensing out porcelain figures.

I love the look of these ponies- I think they look JUST like the cartoon, and honestly better than the vintage ceramic ponies.

Maybe you could smash the baby off and then sand the broken ceramic down ? I guess that doesn't sound so great right?

I am hoping someone will tell me that they are just glued onto the base instead of one solid piece, but I doubt that's the case somehow...

I just googled them... the babies are creepy but the ponies are just stunning!!!  They look so true to G1 MLP!  Hope someone who buys them can post some close-up pictures

Finally got mine in the mail today after my carrier couldn't figure out that my apartment is a letter and a number and not just a number (so it was marked as undeliverable and they were going to send it back ). I was shocked at the size of the box for two figurines. I figured the figurines would be small like the Hamilton figurines in the past of Firefly and Glory, but they are large. I always fail to look at sizes of things, lol. They are GORGEOUS! And the size makes me feel perfectly okay with spending that much per figurine. Starshine is SOOOO PRETTYYY I can't get over it. I hope my mom buys me Snuzzle to complete the set, as soon as Christmas passes if I don't have it I'm buying her as well.

I think Powder's eyes are kind of weird as there isn't much of a pupil, but I still like the figurine.

you could always try customizing the baby to make it look like spike or another animal. take a lot of sanding and sculpting, but the base structure isn't too far off.
