I'll take the job.  I don't have the professional experience, but I would gladly take the job.  I can write them up a bible that would blow their minds.  I would create a world so rich in lore and diversity they could make just about everything out of it.

I actually applied just for the sake of it.  I don't have the education or experience, but I do have the other qualities required.

Ooooh.... I'm... Almost qualified for this, lol. Unfortunately my experience is much more grounded in advertising than branding/marketing. Similar but not the same. What a neat opportunity though!

What an exciting posting! I wonder what it would be like to work on this level for one of Hasbro's brands.

I wouldn't get too excited about the mention of a Brand Bible. I suspect that such a thing is kind of a living, breathing document that adapts along with a brand. Just because there's mention of it doesn't necessarily mean that G5 is on its way.

Unfortunately, that is probably the case.

EDIT: Sumbitted an application just for the fun of it.  Wish I could at least get to talk to someone about my ideas.  Granted "Bring Back G1 Only Better" is the foundation, but I have some interesting ideas of how to rework the characters and world.

The best way to contact Hasbro people directly is probably to find some conventions they're at. (Letters that are sent directly to Hasbro are opened by customer service people and I don't think they really "make it" to anyone else.) 

Not SDCC though, I've heard the Hasbro booth is a madhouse these days.  They have a rather silly and inefficient process for getting the SDCC toys to attendees, apparently.
