New G4 heads: Anybody know what is going on with these?

These are meant for little kids and they would not care about this.  But its awesome to hear that the heads are more easy to get off

I just opened the Sunset Shimmer that my wonderful boyfriend bought me today. Not only does she have dirt on her face and neck, I can see the mold lines and that REALLY bugs me. Oh well.

Didn't notice the seam till I saw that topic.. then again I wasn't looking in the first place...
I'm not fond of the rounder heads really.. They look kind of awkward to me plus make the bodies look much smaller (at least in some views) x.x But that's just how it looks to me

I don't mind the new heads. Not a big deal... except on the fan favorites collection Cadence. Her face looks pinched and weird..

The new head mold is rounder in the cheeks. I actually think it's cuter but don't like that the mold seam line is visible on many of the newer ones.

Ooo... I agree. I also think she looks cuter that way.  But not a big enough difference to replace the one I have.

I noticed the different number of lashes first...on some of them, like the little fillies, I think the new faces are cute, the chubby faces are definately more noticble in direct comparison, but isn't anything I'd really find annoying one way or another. Give me chubby faces with new eyes, ear position, new body molds! Cripes!

Personally, I like the old heads better. I wouldn't mind a chubbier head if they didn't have so many flaws (like the mold lines appearing in almost every single one) but also look as if they simply ballooned the heads. The raised heads make them look as if they're standing at attention. Good luck on getting any of your ponies to appear as if they're looking directly at each other anymore as they'll be staring at each other's foreheads instead. They also made the eyes wider apart so it seems unnatural, especially considering the character designs in the show.

Also, if anyone has seen the new Fluttershy, the poor thing looks like she's about to exclaim, "My GOD IT'S FULL OF STARS!!!"

The unicorns suffered the most, in my opinion. Poor Lyra looks like she's been stuffing her snout into the potato chips for a week and she's bloated from all the salt.

Ohh, I prefer the old mold too, but I think it depends on the eyes? I think Sunset Shimmer looks lovely but Lyra did not fare as well.

I can see the difference pretty obviously in the photos... butttt I think I truly have no opinion in real life. I just don't want any ponies with huge seams on it, I mean, that's a given for any toy unless it's supposed to be a feature of it... I just want the quality of the new toys to be decent. That's my biggest "woe" with the new ponies
