There's no deadline at the moment.  Just send in what you can.

Good luck :) I am curious, what programs would you use to make the animation?

We'd be using Flash.  I think we're looking at CS3 and 5.5.  We could also use 3d modelers and animators for a couple things.

I should probably explain this better.

This is called My Little Pony Legends.  We're currently working on the 5-part pilot Cold War.  It features King Charlatan as the main antagonist and also introduces Megan and her family as well as goes into our backstory for the G1 ponies.  That's what we're concentrating on right now.

We're going to need probably three female singers.  We also need a lyricist, so anyone who can help in that regard is welcome.

I look forward to seeing what Hasbro will say about all this...  ;)

I haven't written lyrics in awhile but if you have the music and an idea of what you want from the song, I'm game for that as well as the vocals(female).

If you want a vocal sample, there's this from a concert.  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v3jaVb64XKM

I love the idea of the project but I think Hasbro will be very protective of 'their' ponies.

That sounds beautiful.

Right now the only song I have planned is a sea pony song at the end.  We can maybe add more songs, but that's something we can worry about later.

As for Hasbro, I think calling this a non-profit fan tribute would be the best idea.  If they have any requirements, I would gladly make sure they're fulfilled.

I don't think my singing would be good enough for you (we have too many beautiful trained voices like FiddlePhan in the community who put me to shame!), but here's a couple of demos for you anyway.

In cartoon-style character:

I'll send some voice clips to you in the next couple of days (my computer finally allowed me to open the google document and see the audition lines!)

Thank you Lancer.  I listened to you too and I don't think there's anything wrong with your singing.  Totally in pitch and with lots of emotion.  So many people sing technically well but emotion wise, there's not much there.  :)

I write lyric and poetry, I'd happily offer input.
Don't have any online samples but I'd send in lyrics and piano samples upon request.
