Want the ponies... but not the playsets!

I'd like to have sweetie swirl too... But I really don't want to buy that playset. Not just because of the price and the space issue, but also because I can't stand the colours on it - I want all my mlp stuff to be pretty pale pastel colours, but all the G4 sets are all orange and magenta and I don't like it

I also want Cadence and Shining Armor but not the castle. I actually had the castle in my cart yesterday, but after seeing how big the box is, I figure even if I can find someone who wants to buy (or trade) the castle from me, it's going to be ridiculously expensive to ship, so I put it back. I guess I'll keep an eye out for sales on it closer to Christmas time and I could always just give the castle to my niece for when she gets older. She's only a month old right now, so it will be awhile before she can play with it.

I bought the carousel on sale for £14.99 down from £24.99 so as soon as the castle is cheap like that it shall be mine I'm hoping that when my sister has her 20 week baby scan it's a girl purely so that I can palm off the carousel, the castle if/when I buy it and some double ponies on her. I guess even if it's boy he can still have them

Right now I'm having this dilemma in reverse with the tea set! I love the accessories, but I don't need another Celestia, Rainbow Dash or Pinkie Pie! Perhaps if there's another BOGO while they're still in stores and there's nothing else I need...

I don't want the playsets either. Maybe if I had room for them, but I don't. I bought Shining Armor loose and will get Cadance from the Crystal princess set with Celestia and Luna.

Is this Cadence the same as the castle one?

I too have no need or room for playsets. And no money :p

I like the playsets the only problem I have with them is when they come with a pony I already have! I dont want any doubles.

Same here, I want the ponies, but not the playsets.  I still need the pink uni from the Rarity Playset, and Shinebright Luna.

I actually agree with mercynova...

You only have to look at the sheer volume of Peachy on ebay - who was after all a "playset" exclusive in the same theme as Sweetie Swirl, Cadance and SA to see that ponies get separated from their playsets very easily over time. And with the speed many G3s turned up after the line was only a year or 2 old, I am sure this couple will soon be reasonably easy to come by on the second hand market given some time and patience.

However, I do agree that I only want the ponies from this set.

I've already found 4 or 5 G4 brushables at Goodwill. Its only a matter of time. Try to resist until they go on sale and you have a coupon.

1) I find someone who wants the playset to sell to / give to or...
2) Donate it
